A system, device and method to facilitate tying a knot are provided. In the context of a device, the device includes a fixture defining an internal passage therethrough. The fixture defines a circumferential groove opening through an interior surface of the fixture and into the internal passage. The groove includes first and second groove portions that cross one another. Opposite ends of the groove are coincident and open through an exterior surface of the fixture. With relation to a system, the system includes a fixture and a lead member supply mechanism configured to alternately feed a lead member through the groove and to withdraw the lead member from the groove once the tie member is connected thereto.

System, device and method to facilitate tying a knot

A multi-tool assembly includes a grip and a receiver that is extendable through the grip. The receiver has a first half pivotally coupled to a second half thereby facilitating the receiver to be bent into a plurality of angles. A plurality of bits is provided and each of the bits is insertable into a respective one of the first wells or the second wells for storage. Each of the bits is positionable into the receiver to tighten or loosen a fastener. A ratchet is integrated into the grip and the ratchet engages the receiver when the receiver is extended through the grip. The ratchet facilitates the grip to ratchet around the receiver in either a first direction or a second direction. In this way the grip can be rotated back and forth around the receiver for tightening or loosening the fastener.

Multi-tool assembly

A pool entry warning assembly includes a pool housing has a first portion forming an angle with a second portion thereby facilitating the pool housing to be positioned on an edge of a swimming pool. A motion sensor is coupled to the pool housing to sense motion of an object falling into the swimming pool. An outdoor remote unit is positionable in an area adjacent to the swimming pool and the outdoor remote unit is wireless communication with the motion sensor. The outdoor remote unit emits an audible alarm when the motion sensor senses motion to alert a caregiver that an object has fallen into the swimming pool. A base unit is positionable within a building adjacent to the swimming pool and the base unit is in wireless communication with the motion sensor. The base unit emits an audible alert when the motion sensor senses motion to alert a caregiver that an object has fallen into the swimming pool.

Pool entry warning assembly

An apparatus used in securing together a bundle of conductors has a support structure with an edge surface having a plurality of notches provided in the edge surface. Each notch of the plurality of notches has an open space dimensioned for receiving a bundle of conductors in the open space. A plurality of clamps are provided that are attachable to the edge surface with each clamp extending over a notch of the plurality of notches and over a bundle of conductors positioned in the open space of the notch. The clamps attached to the edge surface of the support structure over the bundle of conductors positioned in the notch in the edge surface secures the bundle of conductors in the open space of the notch.

Apparatus for securing together a bundle of conductors

Rotary electric engines, aircraft including the same, and associated methods. A rotary electric engine includes a nacelle, a fan configured to generate thrust, a stator operatively coupled to the nacelle, and a rotor operatively coupled to the fan. The fan includes a plurality of fan blades. The rotor includes a plurality of rotor magnets operatively coupled to respective blade tips of the fan blades. The stator includes a plurality of field coils configured to produce a magnetic interaction between the field coils and the rotor magnets to rotate the fan. In examples, the stator is configured to rotate each field coil relative to the nacelle. In examples, an aircraft includes one or more rotary electric engines pivotally mounted within engine mount regions. In examples, a method of operating an aircraft includes operating one or more rotary electric engines in a vertical lift configuration and in a forward flight configuration.

Rotary electric engines, aircraft including the same, and associated methods

A pin member of threaded connection includes a body and a male thread positioned on the body. The male thread includes a male thread principal portion, a male thread transition portion with a cross-sectional area that is smaller than a cross-sectional area of the male thread principal portion, and a male thread protrusion with a cross-sectional area that is larger than the cross-sectional area of the male thread transition portion with the male thread transition portion positioned between the male thread principal portion and the male thread protrusion.

Threaded connection of a duct

A plank exercise assembly for performing a plank exercise includes a panel that has a curved portion that can be positioned on a support surface. A block is coupled to and extends perpendicularly away from the panel and a pair of foot pegs is coupled to and extending perpendicularly away from the block in opposite directions from each other. Each of the foot pegs has a respective one of a user's feet is positioned between the foot pegs and the panel to position the user's feet in a preferred orientation for performing a plank exercise. A pair of wedges is each coupled to the panel on an opposite side of the panel from the block. Each of the wedges has a sloped surface with respect to the panel that rests on the support surface when the panel is positioned in a ready position.

Plank exercise modifier assembly

A gripping system for securing a work piece includes a clamp device, a rotary actuator, and a control circuit. The clamp device includes a ball screw mechanism and a jaw portion that has multiple grip fingers. The ball screw mechanism includes a shaft and a holder assembly. The shaft extends through the holder assembly and is configured for displacement along a central axis of the jaw portion. A distal tip of the shaft engages the grip fingers. The control circuit controls the rotary actuator to drive rotation of the shaft relative to the holder assembly, causing displacement of the shaft along the central axis. The displacement of the shaft causes the distal tip of the shaft to force the grip fingers to move in a radial direction away from the central axis to provide a clamp force on the work piece.

Gripping system with clamp device and method of using the same

Hybrid turbine engines, aircraft including the same, and associated methods. A hybrid turbine engine includes a gas turbine engine mechanically and/or electrically coupled to a rotary electric engine. The rotary electric engine includes a nacelle, a fan with fan blades, a stator operatively coupled to the nacelle, and a rotor with a plurality of rotor magnets coupled to the fan blades. The stator includes a plurality of field coils. In examples, the stator is configured to rotate each field coil relative to the nacelle. In examples, an aircraft includes a hybrid turbine engine such that the gas turbine engine is substantially enclosed within the nacelle or is supported by a fuselage of the aircraft. In examples, a method of operating an aircraft with a hybrid turbine engine includes generating a gas turbine thrust with the gas turbine engine and generating an electric engine thrust with the rotary electric engine.

A method for managing passenger comfort. A passenger mobile device is connected with a vehicle computer system in a vehicle using a near-field communications reader for a passenger seat. Passenger comfort preferences associated with the passenger seat are identified by the vehicle computer system based on changes made to an environment in the vehicle by a passenger. Passenger comfort preferences made to the environment by the passenger are sent from the vehicle computer system to the passenger mobile device, which are associated with different current states. New comfort preferences are received by the vehicle computer system from the passenger mobile device when the passenger mobile device detects a change in a current state of the passenger. Signals are sent by the vehicle computer system to a number of vehicle systems to change the environment using the new comfort preferences, enabling an increase in the passenger comfort in the vehicle.

A variable-clocking terminal assembly includes a crimp barrel, a terminal lug, and a locking collar. The crimp barrel includes a crimp portion having a crimp portion cavity sized and configured to receive a cable end of an electrical cable. The crimp barrel includes a conical portion extending axially from the crimp portion. The terminal lug has a cylindrical portion and a terminal tongue extending outwardly from the cylindrical portion. The cylindrical portion has a conical cavity configured complementary to the conical portion. The locking collar has collar threads configured to engage threads formed on one of the crimp barrel and the terminal lug for drawing the conical portion into direct physical engagement with the conical cavity in a manner locking an orientation of the terminal lug relative to the crimp barrel and establishing electrical continuity between the conical portion and the conical cavity.

Variable-clocking terminal assembly

Systems and methods are provided for cable routing, such as within vehicles or structures. In certain examples, a cable holder is disclosed that includes one or more loop members with an interior groove and a rotatable cable holding member disposed within the interior groove. The rotatable cable holding member can be configured to rotate to decrease bends and/or stresses within the cable that the rotatable cable holding member is holding. Additionally, the rotatable cable holding member can be configured so that the cable held is perpendicular to the support for the cable.

Orbital cable holder systems and methods

A tamper-resistant fastener assembly having a threaded main body section, an outer protective sleeve and an internal channel housing bearings that provides rotation of the sleeve about the main body and a customized locking head and key configuration providing limited installation and removal of the fastener.
