A smoker having an internal perforated smoke stack that is able to smoke food from both the inside and outside. Food is placed inside the smoker and positioned on the perforated smoke stack. The perforated smoke stack is directly connected to the charcoal pan such that smoke enters the perforated smoke stack and out the perforations, thereby providing heat and smoke to the inside of the food in addition to the heat and smoke permeating the smoker's body chamber outside the food.

A gas grill is disclosed having a gas control valve with a push to sear feature. The gas control valve has a housing with a valve core rotatably disposed within the housing. A sear valve is disposed within the valve core. A user rotates the valve core within the housing to selectively align a gas inlet port with an inlet passage and to align a sear gas port and a sear gas flow passage. The sear valve has a sear valve element which is selectively movable relative to the valve core to selectively pass a sear gas through a sear gas port and a sear flow passage to the forward end of the valve housing, and then to the grill. A bias member, preferably a coil spring, is mounted between the sear valve element and the valve core for urging the sear valve element to a closed position.

A barbecue grill and components thereof that allow a user to obtain a controlled burst of high intensity heat for a limited period of time, comprising at least one quick sear burner, a quick sear valve assembly adapted for fluid communication with the quick sear burner, and a cooking surface adapted to be positioned above the quick sear burner in or on a firebox of a barbecue grill. The quick sear valve assembly, in turn, comprises a main valve for normal operation of the quick sear burner, and a bypass valve for high intensity heat output of limited duration. The quick sear valve assembly includes a mechanism that is configured to allow the user to selectively actuate the bypass valve.

A universal crossover channel that is adapted for use in a wide array of grills. The universal crossover includes a telescopic slide feature that allows it to be extended or shortened and brackets that can be moved both vertically and horizontally to adjust the positioning of the universal crossover channel within the grill's firebox.

A duel fuel gas control valve controls the supply of gas (e.g., natural gas or liquid propane gas) to a gas grill. The duel fuel gas control valve is structured to control either natural or LP gas flow at the desired operating characteristics based on conventional gas supply characteristics and gas grill requirements. A restrictor mechanism, when in first and second configurations, respectively, restricts movement of the valve core to a first predetermined range for a first mode of operation (first type of gas supply) and to a second predetermined range for a second mode of operation (second type of gas supply).
