An exemplary method includes a media program guide system 1) providing, for display on a display screen, a media program guide user interface that includes a grid of cells representing scheduled-type media content and on-demand-type media content, and a selector window positioned relative to the grid of cells to select a cell included in the grid of cells, and 2) selectively configuring a feature of the selector window based on whether the cell selected by the selector window represents the scheduled-type media content or the on-demand-type media content. An exemplary method includes a media content information system displaying, on a touch screen display, a first set of media content listings, a graphical representation of a timeline indicating a plurality of times, and a graphical selector to indicate a first position on the timeline, the first position corresponding to a first time within the plurality of times, detecting, a touch input provided by a user on the touch screen display to indicate a second position on the timeline, repositioning, in response to the touch input, the graphical selector to indicate the second position on the timeline, the second position corresponding to a second time within the plurality of times, identifying, a second set of media content listings associated with the second time, and dynamically replacing, the first set of media content listings with the second set of media content listings on the touch screen display.

User interfaces for facilitating access to media content listings

Content may be displayed on a touch-screen display of a device as part of a graphical interface in which the content is divided into categories or sections, and each category/section is associated with a graphical tab. The device may detect a selection of one of the graphic tabs based on a touch gesture received by the touch-screen display and display, on the touch-screen display, content items corresponding to the subset of content items for the selected tab.

A device receives a request to display an interactive profile card for a particular contact and retrieves contact-related items for the particular contact. The device also retrieves a template for the interactive profile card and generates a graphic representing a contact-related item. A mobile communication device displays, via a display, an audio waveform associated with a voicemail received by the mobile communication device, and receives selection and sustained contact with the audio waveform from a user associated with the mobile communication device. The device also enlarges a portion of the audio waveform based on the sustained contact with the audio waveform, and displays, via the display, the enlarged portion of the audio waveform. The device further enables the user to manipulate, via the display, the enlarged portion of the audio waveform, and provides, via a speaker, audible feedback associated with the manipulated enlarged portion of the audio waveform.

A device displays, on a screen, a graphical window from a sequence of graphical windows, where the graphical window includes a group of display elements. The device also receives a user input to the graphical window and identifies a type of the user input, where the type of the user input includes a horizontal input or a vertical input. The device displays, on the screen, another graphical window from the sequence of graphical windows when the type of user input is a horizontal input and scrolls through a stack of the display elements within the graphical window when the type of user input is a vertical input.

Stage interaction for mobile device

A method includes detecting an area of a touch screen that is touched by an instrument and determining a gesture corresponding to the area touched. The method further includes performing a crossover operation when it is determined that the gesture corresponds to a crossover gesture and displaying on the touch screen a content that includes a first child content and a second child content that is associated with the crossover operation, where the crossover operation includes navigating between the first child content to the second child content in response to the crossover gesture. The first child content is accessible via a first parent content and the second child content is accessible via a second parent content, and when navigating between the first child content to the second child content, the first parent content and the second parent content is not displayed.

Gesture-based navigation

A mobile communication device receives current information while the mobile communication device is in one of a sleep state or a locked state, and associates one or more portions of the current information with one or more corresponding windows. The mobile communication device also displays, via a display associated with the mobile communication device, the one or more corresponding windows and the one or more associated portions of the current information while the mobile communication device is in the locked state. The mobile communication device further enables a user associated with the mobile communication device to manipulate the one or more displayed corresponding windows while the mobile communication device is in the locked state.

In certain exemplary embodiments, data representative of a color scheme including a plurality of colors is maintained, a parameter for each of the colors is shifted by a same offset to generate another color scheme, and the other color scheme is associated with a graphical user interface. In certain embodiments, the shifting preserves at least one of a hue relationship and a contrast relationship between the colors in the color scheme. In certain embodiments, at least one user interface tool configured to facilitate a user selection of one of the colors included in the color scheme and a change to be applied to the color, and the same offset is determined based on the user selection.
