Toe-piece for a boot on a gliding board including a chassis affixed to the gliding board; a body movable on the chassis; a sole-clamp movable on the body; a lateral release mechanism including a first elastic mechanism to return the sole clamp to engagement with the boot; a vertical retention mechanism having a second elastic mechanism arranged to continuously exert a return force on the body to bring the sole-clamp toward the lower surface of the chassis, the return force pressing the sole-clamp on the boot; at least one cam kinematically inserted between the second elastic mechanism and either the chassis or the body, the cam being shaped to modify, in relation to the chassis, the direction of the return force exerted by the second elastic mechanism on the body to attenuate a variation in the pressing force when the sole-clamp is away from the lower surface of the chassis.

Binding toe-piece for gliding board

A toe-piece for binding a boot to a gliding board, the toe-piece including a frame; two wings each pivotable in relation to the frame about an axis of rotation and supporting a lateral interface surface designed to come into contact with a front portion of the boot when the toe-piece is in a descent configuration. The toe-piece further includes a lateral release mechanism that includes a connecting element connected to the wings such that the displacement of the connecting element causes the rotation of the wings about their axes of rotation; a first elastic member, a first end of which is connected to the connecting member; and a body against which a second end of the first elastic member presses. The toe-piece further includes an adjustment mechanism that acts on the wings in order to position them alternately in a first configuration, in which each lateral interface surface is in contact with the boot, or in a second configuration, in which each lateral interface surface is away from the boot, for the same positioning of the boot in relation to the toe-piece. The body of the lateral release mechanism is movable in relation to the frame.

Ski binding

A toe-piece for binding a boot to a gliding board, the toe-piece including a first front boot-retaining device and a second front boot-retaining device. The first front boot-retaining device is designed for ascending a slope and includes boot-fastening mechanisms defining a hinge axis about which the boot pivots when the toe-piece is in an ascent configuration. The second front boot-retaining device is designed for descending a slope and includes two wings each supporting a lateral interface surface designed to come into contact with a front portion of the boot when the toe-piece is in a descent configuration. The toe-piece also includes a longitudinal stop surface movable between an active position in which it is designed to cooperate with the front portion of the boot, and an inactive position in which it is arranged so that it is no longer capable of cooperating with the front portion of the boot. The longitudinal stop surface is movable in relation to the wings.

A gliding apparatus includes a gliding board, a first front boot-retaining device for ascending a slope and a second front boot-retaining device for the descent. The first front retaining device comprises a first boot-fastening mechanism, defining a boot pivot axis during the ascent. The second front retaining device comprises a second boot-fastening mechanism, including a movable element incorporating an interface surface capable of contacting a front portion of the boot, the movable element being separate from the first fastening mechanism. The second front retaining device is configurable in a first 'inactive' configuration for which the interface surface is away from the boot front portion, and a second 'active' configuration for which the interface surface contacts the boot front portion. The first boot-fastening mechanism is capable of cooperating with the movable element of the second front retaining device so as to maintain the second front retaining device in its active configuration.

Front retaining devices for a gliding board

The invention is directed to a binding for retaining a boot on a gliding board, such as a ski, which includes a retaining device, a lower abutment surface, and a vertical spacer. The retaining device supports an upper abutment surface adapted to be in contact with at least one upper surface of a front portion of the boot. The lower abutment surface is adapted to be in contact with at least a portion of the sole of the boot. The lower abutment surface is connected to the retaining device so as to define an engagement height for the boot corresponding to the difference in height between the upper abutment surface and the lower abutment surface. The vertical spacer is rigid and includes a predetermined adjustment height. The vertical spacer is arranged relative to the retaining device and the lower abutment surface, so that the adjustment height of the vertical spacer makes it possible to adjust the engagement height. The vertical spacer is affixed directly to the retaining device in order to modify the vertical position of the upper abutment surface.

Binding for a boot on a gliding board

An element for retaining a boot on a skid, the retention element including a base provided to be affixedly connected to the ski, overlaid by a body, a jaw having two independent retaining wings journalled to the body about a vertical axle, the wings having, beyond their journal axle, a tip exerting an action by pressure on the head of a movable tie rod biased by a spring. A rocker, journalled with respect to the base, is inserted between the tips and the head of the tie rod, the tips being in support against an arm of the rocker, and the rocker being mounted asymmetrically with respect to the base or the tips.

Element for retaining the front portion of a boot on a ski

The invention relates to an element for retaining a boot on a ski including a body and a retaining jaw that are generally symmetrical with respect to a longitudinal and vertical median plane, the jaw being biased by a return spring housed in the body, the return spring being connected to the jaw by an anchor having two lateral arms, a central strap and a central fork having two teeth, the spring elastically maintaining the arms of the anchor in support against two retaining pins affixed to the body, the jaw having a median pin engaged between the two teeth of the fork. At least one of the elements of the anchor, which are the arms, the strap and the fork, is asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal and vertical median plane defined by the body and the jaw.
