Methods, systems, and machine-readable media are disclosed for utilizing mobile electronic devices to redeem and report use of various marketing offers such as coupons. According to one embodiment, redeeming and reporting a marketing offer can comprise transmitting information related to the marketing offer from a mobile wallet of the mobile device to a target device. A redemption message can be received at the mobile wallet of the mobile device from the target device. The redemption message can indicate acceptance of the marketing offer. At least a portion of the redemption message can be sent from the mobile wallet of the mobile device to a service provider system providing communication services to the mobile device. Sending the redemption message from the mobile wallet of the mobile device to the service provider system can be performed via a wireless communications network such as a cellular network.

Embodiments of the invention may relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for using a contactless transaction device reader with a computing system. According to one embodiment, a system for conducting a transaction on a personal computing system using a contactless transaction device may include a communications interface operable to connect with a network, a memory, a contactless transaction device reader operable to communicate wirelessly with a contactless transaction device, and a processor in communication with the memory, the communications interface, and the contactless transaction device reader. The processor may be operable to cause the contactless transaction device reader to read information from the contactless transaction device, to verify that the user's authority, to provide transaction information, based at least in part on the information read from the contactless transaction device, when conducting a transaction, and to transmit at least a portion of the transaction information to an entity.

Systems, methods, and apparatus for using a contactless transaction device reader with a computing system

Embodiments of the invention may relate to systems, methods, and apparatus to facilitate locating a user of a transaction device. In one embodiment, a contactless transaction device for facilitating locating the user can be provided. The contactless transaction device may include an antenna operable to electromagnetically receive and transmit data. The contactless transaction device may also include a microchip comprising a memory operable to store consumer account data and location alert data and in communication with the antenna, wherein the microchip is operable to transmit the location alert data to a transaction terminal via the antenna when the contactless transaction device is presented to facilitate a transaction with the transaction terminal.

Systems, methods, and apparatus to facilitate locating a user of a transaction device

Devices and methods for protecting a radio frequency identification (RFID) device from electronic reading prior to the sale of the RFID device where a package includes an upper layer comprising a radio frequency shielding material covering at least the upper and side portions of an RFID device. The package also includes a lower layer covering the lower portion of the RFID device, where the lower layer is connected to the upper layer. The package also includes a tamper indicator that provides a physical indication of when the package has been at least partially opened or damaged. The package may be composed of plastic sheeting incorporated with radio frequency shielding material, such as a ferrous material, and in some embodiments may include a plastic film envelope incorporated with radio frequency shielding material encasing the RFID device.
