A ball screw including a threaded spindle and a spindle nut has a ball deflector arranged in an opening in the lateral surface of the spindle nut. The ball deflector is formed with an upper shell and a lower shell, the lower shell being arranged radially inwardly closer to the spindle nut longitudinal axis than the upper shell. The lower shell has a substantially half-shell-shaped contour. Both the upper shell and the lower shell are fastened in the spindle nut without any further, discrete mechanical fastening elements, and the ball deflector formed thereby does not protrude beyond the outer contour defined by the spindle nut.

Ball deflector for a ball screw

A diverter for a ball return of a ball screw configured for lifting in and lifting out balls from a ball channel between the spindle nut and the threaded spindle. The diverter is configured in one piece and has 3 functional units, specifically a positioning element, a deflection element having a spade-like lifting-out region and a diverting surface for balls out of or into the ball channel. All surfaces of the diverter that are provided for guidance of balls are configured as circumferentially open grooves (not closed in the manner of a tunnel). A method for assembling such a ball return includes providing two single-piece, structurally identical diverters; providing a pre-assembled module with a spindle nut and a threaded spindle, the spindle nut having two inwardly fitted apertures; inserting the diverters into the apertures; introducing balls; and securing the ball return by attaching a covering sleeve to the spindle nut.

Ball screw and assembly method

A method for producing a spindle nut () for a ball screw () is provided, having the following steps: providing a substantially cylindrical workpiece () with first and second end faces () and a lateral surface (), shaping the workpiece () by pressing in an axially symmetrical central opening () and by simultaneously pressing in at least one first () and one second () channel which are arranged axially in parallel in the lateral surface () of the workpiece (), the central opening () and the channels () being open toward the first end face (), introducing an internal thread () into the central opening (), and introducing at least two radially running through-openings () at least into the first channel in the form of a transfer channel for receiving diverting inserts (). A spindle nut () produced by the method and to a ball screw () having such a spindle nut () are also provided.

Ball screw, spindle nut and method for producing a spindle nut

A ball screw drive () including a threaded spindle () having a first, free end () and a second end () which can be connected to a drive, and a spindle nut () at least partially enclosing the threaded spindle () coaxially. A plurality of balls () recirculate in the space between the threaded spindle () and the spindle nut () form the core element. An extension sleeve (), which connects coaxially to the spindle nut (), is fixedly connected to the latter and moves together with it relative to the threaded spindle (). At the first end () of the threaded spindle (), a substantially circular bearing ring () is attached to the outer circumference of the threaded spindle (), which circular bearing ring serves as a shaft bearing between the threaded spindle () and the extension sleeve () and which has a noise-dampening effect due to at least one integrated spring/damping element. This spring/damping element of the bearing ring () is preferably a combination of at least one notch () on the inner circumference of the bearing ring () and an annular gap ().
