A relaxation device includes an enclosure, a vibrator, a scent release mechanism, at least one processing device, and a power source. The vibrator is provided in the enclosure and is configured to induce vibrations of at least a portion of the enclosure. The scent release mechanism is at least partially mounted within the enclosure. The processing device is in electrical communication with the vibrator and the scent release mechanism and is configured to control operation of the vibrator and the scent release mechanism. The power source is in the enclosure and electrically connected with the processing device, the vibrator and the scent release mechanism.

Relaxation system with scent release

A relaxation device includes an enclosure, a linear vibrator, at least one processing device, and a power source. The linear vibrator is positioned in the enclosure and is configured to impart a uniaxial force on at least a portion of the enclosure. The processing device is in electrical communication with the linear vibrator and is configured to control operation of the linear vibrator. The power source is in the enclosure and electrically connected with the processing device and the linear vibrator.

A light therapy wearable includes a fabric panel and a side-emitting light tube affixed to or held against the fabric panel. The side-emitting optical light tube includes a side-emitting optical fiber and a jacket surrounding the side-emitting optical fiber. The side-emitting optical fiber includes a core and cladding surrounding the core. The core is made from a synthetic polymeric material. The jacket is made from a transparent or translucent material and has a durometer of at least 50 A and an outer diameter at least seven times a core diameter of the side-emitting optical fiber.

An article of footwear is configured to be worn so as to at least partially cover a wearer's foot. The footwear includes at least one optical fiber on an internal surface of the footwear. The at least one optical fiber is configured to project radiation having a therapeutic wavelength through the at least one optical fiber and toward at least one of the wearer's foot, ankle or leg when the footwear is being worn so as to at least partially cover the wearer's foot.

A light therapy wearable includes a fabric panel and a side-emitting light tube affixed to or held against the fabric panel. The side-emitting optical light tube includes a side-emitting optical fiber and a jacket surrounding the side-emitting optical fiber. The side-emitting optical fiber includes a core and cladding surrounding the core. The core is made from a synthetic polymeric material. The jacket is made from a transparent or translucent material and has a durometer of at least 65 A and an outer diameter at least seven times a core diameter of the side-emitting optical fiber.

A wearable for providing light therapy to a wearer includes at least one fabric panel having an inner surface that when the wearable is worn is configured to face a wearer's skin and at least one side-emitting optical fiber affixed to the inner surface. The side-emitting optical fiber is optically connectable with an optical fiber light source and configured to project light having a therapeutic wavelength toward a wearer of the wearable. When affixed to the fabric panel, the side-emitting optical fiber can have a length in meters based on the optical power launched into the side-emitting optical fiber and the average attenuation of the side-emitting optical fiber.

An illuminated garment includes a base layer having knitted looped threads that hold in position a plurality of optical fibers. The optical fibers are laid into the base layer during the same knitting cycle as the base layer and are configured to emit light through the respective sides of the optical fibers and along the length of each optical fiber in response to receiving light from a light source through at least one end of the respective optical fibers.

A wearable for providing light therapy to a wearer includes at least one fabric panel having an inner surface that when the wearable is worn is configured to face a wearer's skin and an outer surface opposite the inner surface and at least one side-emitting optical fiber affixed to at least one of the inner surface and the outer surface. The side-emitting optical fiber is optically connectable with an optical fiber light source and configured to project light having a therapeutic wavelength toward a wearer of the wearable. When affixed to the fabric panel, the side-emitting optical fiber can have a length in meters no less than the quotient of 0.46 and the average attenuation of the at least one side-emitting optical fiber.

The side-emitting optical fiber is optically connectable with an optical fiber light source and configured to project light having a therapeutic wavelength toward a wearer of the wearable. With the fabric panel laid flat, the side-emitting optical fiber includes at least one looped section that bends around more than 180 degrees.

A wearable for providing light therapy to a wearer includes at least one fabric panel having an inner surface that when the wearable is worn is configured to face a wearer's skin and an outer surface opposite the inner surface and at least one side-emitting optical fiber affixed to at least one of the inner surface and the outer surface. The side-emitting optical fiber is optically connectable with an optical fiber light source and configured to project light having a therapeutic wavelength toward a wearer of the wearable. The wearable can include at least one non-optical fiber light source affixed to the fabric panel so as to project light toward a wearer of the wearable. The non-optical fiber light source can have a respective side-emitting optical fiber of the at least one side-emitting optical fiber on opposite sides of the at respective non-optical fiber light source.
