The present invention concerns a device for locking/unlocking a pallet on a support structure in a predefined position, including activation means for activating and deactivating the locking of the pallet. The activation means includes studs that are movable and retractable, mounted sliding in side members on each lateral side of the pallet, the studs being capable of engaging in housings provided in the support structure; drive members mounted in the side members of the pallet to move the studs between a retracted position corresponding to unlocking and a laterally protruding position on the side members corresponding to locking; and removable actuation means suitable for being disposed on or in the pallet, in a position in which they mechanically engage with the drive members in order to control the movement of the studs.

A load-bearing palette includes two side frames; crosspieces; two end support areas for supporting car wheels; and a free central space. The first area includes a wheel support acting as an abutment for the first set of wheels; a transverse element connecting both side frames and having two oblique arms joined at a central portion directed towards an end of the palette; a recess between the wheel support and the transverse element having a width continually decreasing from the side frames to the central portion, into which a first set of wheels sinks down, regardless of the wheelbase type and the track width of the car. The second area includes decking, the dimensions of which are sufficient to support a second set of wheels, regardless of the wheelbase type and the track width of the car.

The invention relates to a transport vehicle with an extended longitudinal structure for a motor-driven handling device. Loads are loaded/unloaded in a loading space by a motor-driven handling device which moves along longitudinal guide rails supported by the vehicle. The transport vehicle is closed at the rear by two hinged doors, each door including a guide rail section located at the same height as the guide rails. When the hinged doors are open to 90 degrees, each guide rail section extends one of the guide rails, allowing the motor-driven handling device to move simultaneously on both the guide rails and the guide rail sections.

The present invention concerns a gripper for gripping, moving, orienting, and depositing a pallet. The gripper includes a gripping means for gripping the pallet at the longitudinal side members of a pallet. The gripper is suitable for being hinged to an automated manipulator moving along a support structure, thus making it possible to move, orient, and deposit a pallet in a loading position on the support structure or in an unloading position, for example, on the ground.

The present invention concerns a method for loading and/or unloading a loading space delimited by structural elements of at least one road or rail vehicle using a manipulator to move the loads from outside the loading space to a position onto the structural elements in the loading space and vice versa. The method includes: inputting or importing primary data relative to the loads into a logic controller, automatically calculating the optimum loading position for each load, determining the automated movements of the manipulator, automatically picking up a pallet in a storage position inside the loading space with the manipulator and positioning the pallet in a loading position located at the rear of the vehicle, placing a load on the pallet, and automatically moving the pallet supporting the load into the optimum loading position, and locking the pallet to the structural elements.
