A power supply includes a connector, a power conversion controller to generate a power supply signal at the connector, and a communication and control processor. The communication and control processor is to receive a set of current control parameters including a current limit over a communication link in the connector, receive measurements of current and voltage of the power supply signal, and generate a drive signal for controlling the power conversion controller based on the received current control parameters and the measurements of the current and the voltage.

Power supply with variable configurable current limit

A power supply system is operable to contemporaneously supply power to multiple output ports when available power from a power source is insufficient to meet maximum potential power requirements of load devices coupled to the output ports. The power supply system includes a system monitor, multiple power converters, and optional temperature sensing circuits, where each power converter supplies power to a respective output port. The system monitor monitors an output power characteristic of the power source, output powers delivered to the output ports, and/or temperatures detected by the temperature sensing circuits. When the system monitor detects an overload condition is approaching based on the monitored parameter or parameters, the system monitor generates control signals which cause the power converters to maintain or reduce their output powers such that the overload condition is abated and two or more output ports continue to deliver output power to their respective load devices.

The apparatus can include a device charging port monitor coupled to the first device charging port and coupled to the second device charging port. The device charging port monitor can detect a number of device charging ports in use. The apparatus can include a cable compensator coupled to the device charging port monitor. The cable compensator can select a first cable compensation if one device charging port is in use and can select a second cable compensation if two device charging ports are in use.

An electronic device () includes a control circuit () and one or more modules () operable with the control circuit. Received data is filtered to produce pre-noise suppression data. Noise is removed from the pre-noise suppression data to provide noise-suppressed data. Echo canceler circuit and method

A transmitter device () receives an audio signal from an audio source device (), and transmits the audio signal at a low power over a commercial broadcast channel to a local receiver (). The transmitter device selects an initial channel by scanning the available spectrum, partitioned into sub-bands (-), and measuring the received signal strength in each channel. The channel having the lowest strength is used to set a threshold. The sub-band with most channels meeting the threshold is initially selected, and the channel in the initially selected sub-band with the lowest received signal strength is selected for initial use. A context-based weighting factor may be applied in selecting the initial channel or in selecting subsequent channels when the initial channel conditions degrade.

Method and apparatus for selecting a radio channel for transmitting an audio signal to a radio local receiver

Described are methods and systems to preset a Bluetooth enabled headset and a Bluetooth enabled conference hub, so that at the time of a conference call, they are pre-paired and ready for use. Pairing information of a particular Bluetooth headset may be stored with a server and downloaded to a particular conference at the time of the scheduled conference. When a conference call is scheduled, via for example an email client conference scheduling tool, the hub will be automatically preset so that when a particular user with a headset comes within range, the headset and hub are paired and may transmit and receive communications between them. The described methods and systems can be used in large scale and small scale businesses with dynamic conferencing needs. The methods and systems can integrate with widely available email client conference scheduling tools currently used by many business enterprises.

A method and apparatus for remotely loading a telephone number into a mobile unit is disclosed. A registration computer in a credit card payment radiotelephone system places a call to a mobile radiotelephone unit and conveys a telephone number to the mobile unit which is stored at the mobile unit. This telephone number may later be recalled and transmitted by the mobile unit to accomplish a telephone call.
