A method of treating a drainage system includes puncturing, by a controller, a pod retained by a pod housing, wherein the pod contains a drain treatment compound, and introducing, by the controller, water from a water supply to the pod retained by the pod housing to deliver the drain treatment compound dispersed in the water to a drain.

Drain treatment

A method and apparatus of accessing data through an independent intermediary mechanism (IIM) is described. The method includes displaying a frame including a user interface of the IIM, the frame framing a destination server display area (DSDA). The method further includes having one or more of the following functions provided by the IIM: a home page, a history list, bookmarks, a one-click account log-in function, a transaction record accessible to the user, a forms database permitting new forms to be added to the forms database, a user profile, and automatic form-fill function based on the forms database and the user profile.

Applications and services supported by a client-server independent intermediary mechanism

In an embodiment, a method comprises receiving a hit rate and a change rate for a data object stored in a cache. The method also includes updating a time-to-live period for the data object stored in the cache based on the hit rate and the change rate for the data object.

Updating data objects for dynamic application caching

A method and apparatus for a client-server independent intermediary mechanism is provided. The method comprises displaying a frame including a user interface of the IIM, the frame framing a destination server display area (DSDA). The method further comprises retrieving data for display from a destination server, and instrumenting the data prior to display such that future data retrieved from the destination server is displayed in the DSDA, without writing over the frame.

Client-server independent intermediary mechanism

A data processing system includes a workspace network data structure, such as a hypertext data structure, in which data units corresponding to displayable workspace sets such as cards are linked by linking data units. The data structure also includes a link creation data unit associated with one of the cards. When that card is displayed, a selectable link creation unit, called an AutoLink button, corresponding to the link creation data unit is also displayed. When the user selects the AutoLink button, the link creation data unit is accessed to obtain data for creating a link to another card. The data structure also includes a card creation data unit that is also accessed to create the destination card for the link. An AutoLink button can be repeatedly selected to create several new cards and links between each new card and the card with the AutoLink button. The card creation data unit can also indicate another AutoLink data unit, so that the data structure includes a sequence of link and card creation data units. When a new card is created in response to selection of an AutoLink button, it can be displayed, including any AutoLink buttons it contains. These AutoLink buttons can then be selected to create further links and cards. The AutoLink data unit can also include a parameter indicating a number of levels of links and cards to be created.
