An insect capture device is used to monitor, capture, and/or kill insects. The device has a raised portion to create a gap between a surface and the device to entice insects to pass under. At the raised portion, a glue board includes an adhesive facing the surface. As the insect passes under the raised portion, the insect can unknowingly become attached to the adhesive portion and stuck thereto. To aid in installing the glue board, one or more sections of the glue board can be free of adhesive to connect or fit to a part of the device to hold the glue board in place, while also allowing for easy removal to replace the glue board with a new one, free of captured insects.

A pest detection device including a capacitive sensor having a plurality of traces that can be capacitively sensed using self-capacitance or mutual capacitance measurements. The sensor including conductive shield traces to facilitate a number of sensing applications. The sensor including a coated portion to facilitate crawling of pests over the sensing area of the circuit board.

A method and apparatus for obtaining a product chemistry from a solid block is provided. The product is housed within a dispenser, which utilizes a liquid and a gas to erode the block and produce a concentrate solution. The liquid and gas characteristics can be adjusted in the field to achieve a predetermined concentrate level in the solution. The introduction of air into the dispenser saves water, while producing higher concentrate levels.

Method for increasing dissolution of solid chemistry blocks

A method for obtaining a chemical concentration from a chemical composition and a fluid includes introducing the fluid through ports in a manifold diffuse member positioned adjacent a chemical composition and adjusting, with a fluid valve, characteristics of the flow of the fluid through the ports in the diffuser manifold to obtain and maintain a chemical concentration. The amount of liquid allowed through the ports modifies the turbulence of the liquid, thereby modifying the erosion rate of the chemical composition. An apparatus for adjusting characteristics of the flow of a fluid contacting a solid product to form a product chemistry includes a diffuser manifold having a manifold diffuse member comprising ports therethrough and a fluid valve for controlling the flow rate of a fluid moving through the plurality of ports and diverting the fluid through various flow paths.

Dispensing a solid chemistry using an adjustable turbulent flow technology manifold

A fluid dispenser system is disclosed that can have a plurality of dispensers, each having a valve. Each valve can be connectable in series with another valve. The dispenser system can include a manifold permitting passage of a common fluid therethrough. Any of the valves connected to two adjacent valves can be removable without removing either of the valves to which it is connected. The common fluid can have a fluid pressure associated therewith. The fluid pressure can generate a tension force for pushing two adjacent valves apart and thereby lock the valves into a series connection. A method of removing a valve from a series of valves comprises stopping flow of the common fluid through the manifold, thereby releasing the tension force. The valve intended to be removed can be rotated, and thus removed with respect to the valve intended to be left in the series connection.

Systems and methods for manifold valves

A method and apparatus for obtaining a product chemistry from a slid block of caustic material is provided. The product is housed within a capsule which is positioned inside a turbulent flow dispenser, which utilizes fluid to erode the block and produce a concentrated solution. The fluid characteristics can be adjusted in the field to achieve a predetermined concentrate level of the solution. The capsule provides a safe and convenient means for handling, storing and shipping the caustic block without exposing the operator or handler to the hazardous material. The capsule includes nested components which can be rotated between a closed or sealed position and an open use position.

A solid product dispenser can be used to form a dilute liquid solution from a block of solid concentrate. In cases where only a small amount of liquid solution is needed, the solid product dispenser may dissolve the block of solid concentrate quickly and substantially uniformly to provide a solution of controlled concentration. This can be contrast with larger dispensing applications where a dispenser may dissolve a block of concentrate slowly at the start and more rapidly as the dispensing progresses, producing a solution with an average concentration higher than if only a small amount of solution were produced using the dispenser. In one example, the solid product dispenser includes a fluid distribution reservoir and a solid product reservoir positioned inside of the fluid distribution reservoir and over a platform on which the solid product sits. High pressure fluid flows between the two reservoirs, turbulently contacting the solid product.

A drainage component in fluid communication with the fluid supply line includes a drain channel leading to a drain, the drain channel having an inner wall and an outer wall. The inner wall has a sealing surface approximate a three-way elastomeric valve. The elastomeric valve includes a moveable first wall having a first position when the fluid supply is on and a second position when fluid supply is off and a second wall connected to the moveable first wall, the second wall engaging a drain sealing surface when the first wall is in the first position. The elastomeric valve includes an orifice through which fluid may flow. When the pressure of the fluid on the elastomeric element increases, the second wall of the elastomeric valve engages the drain sealing surface. The elastomeric valve is preferably a fluoroelastomer to ensure both flexibility and resistance to a variety of chemical products.

A pressure transmitter system for measuring a pressure of a process fluid in an industrial process includes a pressure transmitter having a pressure sensor. A process fluid passageway having a circular opening is configured to couple pressure of the process fluid to the pressure sensor. A concentric seal support structure extends around the circular opening comprising an annular recess. An annular stress riser is positioned radially inward from the annular recess. A seal material fills the annular recess and contacts at least a portion of the annular stress riser.

A process transmitter housing assembly includes a housing and a cover assembly including a cover chassis and a transparent cover piece. The cover chassis includes a cover flange extending inward from a perimeter of the cover chassis. Internal threads of the cover chassis threadedly engage external threads of the housing. The transparent cover piece is mechanically clamped between the cover flange and a surface of the housing nearest the cover flange when the cover chassis is threadedly secured to the housing.

A process fluid pressure transmitter for measuring a process pressure referenced to atmospheric pressure is provided. The process fluid pressure transmitter includes a pressure sensor fluidically coupled to a pair of pressure conveying conduits. The pressure sensor has an electrical characteristic that varies with the pressures applied by the pressure conveying conduits. A process fluid inlet is disposed to contact a process fluid, and is in fluidic communication with a first conduit of the pair of pressure conveying conduits. An atmospheric vent is coupled to a second conduit of the pair of pressure conveying conduits. The atmospheric vent is replaceable and has a filter element disposed therein.

An environmental seal between two compartments, such as in a process transmitter, linked by a passageway contains an electrical cable. The seal includes a stop, a cable gland body, a compression bushing, a cable gland nut, and a first elastomeric seal. The stop projects from an interior surface of the passageway. The cable gland body is in contact with the stop and encircles a portion of the electrical cable. The compression bushing is within the cable gland body and encircles the portion of the electrical cable. The cable gland nut compresses the compression bushing and seals the compression bushing against the electrical cable and against an interior surface of the cable gland body. The first elastomeric seal seals between an exterior surface of the cable gland body and the interior surface of the passageway.

A display assembly includes a transparent cover piece, a display shroud having a contact structure arranged to face the transparent cover piece, an interface subassembly mounted on the display shroud, an electronics board shroud having a support member and a connection feature, and a biasing member operably engaged between the display shroud and the electronics board shroud. The connection feature mechanically connects the electronics board shroud to the display shroud while permitting axial displacement and rotation therebetween. The biasing member rests on the support member of the electronics board shroud, and the biasing member is configured to urge the contact structure of the display shroud into physical contact with the transparent cover piece. The interface subassembly includes a display circuit for providing a digital display and a touch circuit for providing touch actuation at or near the digital display through the transparent cover piece.
