A safety or security light grid for monitoring a protected field having a light transmitting strip, which has a row of light transmitters arranged alongside each other, and a light receiving strip, which has light receivers arranged alongside each other associated with respective light transmitters, so that a plurality of parallel light barriers form the protected field. There is at least one control and evaluation unit, which controls and evaluates the individual light barriers for generating a warning signal when one or more light barriers are interrupted by an object. The light grid has two input elements and at least one display element for configuring the light grid.

Safety light grid

A light barrier or light grid which has at least one light emitter arranged in a first housing and at least one associated light receiver arranged in a second housing. At least one emitter of visible alignment light installed in the first or the second housing generates one or more alignment light beams which is used to geometrically orient the light emitter relative to the opposite light receiver. For optically aligning the two housings, at least one alignment mechanism is present in the housing which receives the alignment beam. The alignment mechanism has at least one surface which optically deflects the alignment beam towards a target plane.

Light barrier or light grid with alignment mechanism

The invention relates to a light grid having a transmitter strip for the transmission of a plurality of light beams and a receiver strip for the reception of these light beams, an evaluation unit for the processing of received signals generated in dependence on the light beams received and a memory for reference values which can be compared with the received signals by means of the evaluation unit, with a position transducer being provided for the determination of the position of an object introduced into the monitored zone of the evaluation unit being able to be supplied with position signals supplied by the position transducer and the comparison of the reference values with the received values being able to be carried out in dependence on the position signals.
