A method of printing comprising, at an imaging device, receiving a print-by-reference print request and an encryption key from a mobile device, transmitting the print-by-reference print request and the encryption key to a print service, receiving encrypted print content from the print service, receiving a decryption key from the mobile device, decrypting the encrypted print content, creating decrypted print content, and printing the decrypted print content. A method of printing content requested from a mobile device, comprising receiving a print request and encrypted print content, receiving a decryption key from the mobile device, decrypting the encrypted print content, and printing the decrypted print content.

Mobile Printing

In a method for mobile printing, a mobile device generates a symmetrical pair of encryption keys and transmits the first encryption key and a print request to an imaging device. When the mobile device receives a request from the imaging device for the second encryption key, the mobile device transmits the second encryption key to the imaging device. The imaging device then uses the second encryption key to decrypt encrypted rendered content and prints the content.

Mobile printing

Example systems, methods, computer-readable mediums, and other forms of a secure foreign enterprise printing system are provided. An example system may include a wireless telephonic logic for communicating with a wireless network web services provider and a wireless network communication logic configured to communicate a print request to the wireless network web services provider using the wireless telephonic logic. The print item may be stored in a first enterprise and may be printed on an image forming device that is located in a second enterprise. The example system may also include an encryption logic configured to facilitate providing security for the print item as it travels from the first enterprise to the image forming device.

Secure foreign enterprise printing

In a method of printing using a mobile device, the mobile device accesses remote content. An archive file containing the remote content is generated on the mobile device or on a proxy server on a network. The mobile device then transmits a print request to an imaging device, and the imaging device requests and receives the archive file and prints the content.

Method for printing remote content

A printing system and method are provided that facilitate the mobile printing of a document. The printing system comprises an automated print agent located in a device coupled to a network. The printing system also comprises a network alias associated with a printer coupled to the network, where the automated print agent acting as a network destination for a transmitted document addressed to the network alias. The automated print agent orchestrates the printing of the transmitted document on the printer upon receipt of the transmitted document from a transmitting device.

System and method for mobile printing

A system, method, and program embodied on a computer readable medium are provided for configuring the automated print agent for printing. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving an email print message addressed to a network alias, the network alias being associated with an automated print agent employed for performing an email print, identifying a printer specified in the email print message, determining if the automated print agent is configured for printing to the printer, and, automatically configuring the automated print agent to print to the printer upon a determination that the automated print agent is not configured to print to the printer.

System and method for configuring a printing system

Disclosed are various systems and methods for printing documents. In one embodiment, a printing system is provided that comprises a host and a local printer coupled thereto, the local printer having a portable device communications port with which to establish a communications link a portable device. The local printer includes means for relaying a non-rendered document received via the portable device communications port to the host for rendering. The host includes means in the host for orchestrating a rendering of the non-rendered document into a rendered document with a printer format compatible with the local printer, the non-rendered document being rendered using one of a number of applications in the host, and, means in the host for transmitting a rendered document to the local printer to be printed.
