An apparatus and method for wrapping a bale of agricultural product with protective material prior to ejection from a baler wherein the apparatus is attachable to most commercial balers, the material can both protect and bind the bale, material of a width less than the width of the bale can be used, and the bale can be wrapped with a spiral wrap of material at both its nominal width and in a gathered narrow rope-like width.

Device and method for wrapping bales of hay or the like with protective

A flexible heating cable and method using positive temperature coefficient conductive (PTC) polymeric material as the primary heat source with the PTC composition material being electrically and mechanically connected to substantially flat, preferably braided, electrical conductors. A covering of dielectric material preferably is used to electrically separate the cable from the environment. The cable construction improves the heat transfer from the PTC composition material to the environment, thereby increasing the power generated by the PTC composition material. Additionally, the cable construction improves the temperature distribution of the cable.

Flexible, elongated positive temperature coefficient heating assembly

A method and apparatus for parallel-type heating cables. In accordance with the present invention a heating core element is formed by connecting two essentially parallel bus wires with a plurality of electrically conductive splices to a centrally disposed resistive element and around which heating core element a protective sheath is formed. The present invention permits this heating core element to be formed by splicing the spaced apart, essentially parallel wire elements followed by a single extrusion application of a protective sheath.
