A system is disclosed for controlling the flow of a liquid from a liquid pressure line for flushing a toilet bowl comprising a valve interconnecting the liquid pressure line and the toilet bowl. An electrical control generates a first and a second timer period with the second timer period being longer in duration than the first timer period. The electrical control is connected to the valve for opening the valve for the first timer period for flushing a liquid waste from the toilet bowl and for opening the valve for the second timer period for flushing a solid waste from the toilet bowl.

Dispensing system

A system is disclosed for dispensing a liquid at a desired temperature from a hot liquid pressure line and a cold liquid pressure line to a plurality of liquid outlets such as a bathtub, a sink or the like. The system controls the temperature of the liquid flowing from the plurality of liquid outputs as well as controlling the level of liquid within a container and for maintaining the temperature of the liquid therein. The system includes a liquid recycling system which reduces the amount of liquid discarded during the operation of the system and to conserve heat energy. The system is controlled by a novel electronic control which when applied to a water dispensing system is able to control all functions of a bathtub as well as being capable of controlling a sink, a toilet or the complete water system for a residence, a hotel, an industrial or a medical complex or the like. The system also includes novel valve menas for providing liquid mixing, liquid flow control, liquid distribution and diverting, liquid draining and liquid eduction which may be useful in many liquid distribution systems independent of the examples of the liquid dispensing system set forth herein.

An electronic printing system for printing digitally stored images which achieves extremely high throughputs as a consequence of control of the addressing of various memory sections being allocated to hardware assist units which operate independently of the processing unit. The processing unit rotates words retrieved from a font storage memory with respect to word boundaries in a page memory of a raster storage unit at high speed to achieve proper positioning of the words for storage in the page memory. The system further has a readout system for reversing the order of readout of the significance of pixels of words stored in both the font storage memory and from the combined output of the raster storage unit and the raster form storage unit which cuts in half the necessary storage requirements of character orientations in the font storage unit for duplex printing and printing on either side of a page for pages which have been punched for storage in ring binders. Finally, an addressing unit is provided for the raster storage unit which generates all addresses for storage of words in the page memories independently of the operation of the processing unit with the exception of the first word of the first character which is generated by the processing unit.

An electronic device is disclosed for controlling the temperature of a liquid such as water flowing into a container such as a bathtub or the like. The device also controls the level of liquid within the container and includes a solid state circuit in conjunction with a temperature sensing device for maintaining the temperature of the liquid within the container to a preselected level. The control device includes a plurality of switches for preselecting the required temperature and liquid level. Switches are also provided for selecting the use of the bathtub as a bath or as a shower. The flow and mixing of water into the bathtub and the flow of water out of the bathtub is accomplished by solenoid flow control valves responsive to the control device. The invention may be applied to industrial, commercial, medical or residential applications and the like.

Electronic control device for liquids

A control circuit is disclosed for controlling an air conditioning and/or heating system in a region comprising a first circuit for establishing electrical signals corresponding to an upper and lower temperature of a first temperature range. A second circuit is provided for establishing electrical signals corresponding to an upper and lower temperature of a second temperature range. A presence sensor is provided for detecting the presence of a person inhabitating the region. A logic circuit is connected to the aforementioned circuit for controlling the system in accordance with a first temperature range when a person is inhabiting the region and for controlling the system in accordance with the second temperature range when the region is void of inhabitation by a person.

Controller for air conditioning or heating system

An apparatus is disclosed for activating a thermostat for an air conditioning or heating system. The apparatus comprises a control circuit and a controllable switch connected to activate and deactivate the thermostat controlling the air conditioning or heating system. A timing circuit provides a first timing period in which the thermostat is deactivated in addition to providing a second timing period to activate the thermostat. The control also includes a circuit for deactivating the thermostat for a period of time in the event the compressor terminates operation for any reason. An optional occupancy sensor increases the time of deactivation of the thermostat during periods of non-use of the area being air conditioned or heated. The foregoing abstract is merely a resume of one general application, is not a complete discussion of all principles of operation or applications, and is not to be construed as a limitation on the scope of the claimed subject matter.
