A multiple pair cable with individually shielded pairs and that is easy to connect has a circular cross-section and includes a plurality of individually insulated conductor pairs and an electrical shield around each pair. The electrical shields of the various pairs include a central rod with radial fins separating the pairs from each other and partially shielding each pair and a peripheral shield around the rod and all of the pairs between the fins and completing the shielding of each pair.

A cable includes a set of pairs of conductors isolated from each other to limit crosstalk between the pairs. The cable includes a flexible central cord. The pairs are separated by peripheral cords that are also flexible and distributed around the central cord. The assembly is surrounded by a sheath.

Low-crosstalk flexible cable

A data transmission cable having at least one unit of at least four conductors twisted into sets of conductors, which sets are quads or pairs, each conductor set being twisted at a pitch that is different from the pitch of any other conductor set, and each conductor being insulated by an insulating sheath. The unit being covered by at least one assembly structure, wherein the material used for the insulating sheath of any conductor in a given set of conductors has a relative dielectric constant that is different from that of the material used for the insulating sheath of any conductor in another set of conductors, such that the propagation time differences between the conductors of the set of conductors and the conductors of the other set of conductors is less than 2 ns/100 m.

Data transmission cable

A cable includes at least one electrical conductor surrounded by a shield protecting against high-frequency electromagnetic interference. The shield includes an inner tape disposed lengthwise having a conductive layer and an outer tape disposed lengthwise having a conductive layer covered by an insulative layer. The conductive layer of the outer tape facing inwards so that the respective conductive layers of the inner and outer tapes are in contact. At least one of the two tapes has overlapping longitudinal edges. The insulative material of the insulative layer of the outer tape is adhesively bonded to the inside wall of a jacket. The protection is effective up to at least 500 MHz.

Cable for transmitting data and method of manufacturing it

The invention relates to a flat cable for transmitting high bit rate signals including at least one pair of individually insulated conductors, a layer having at least one groove and a conductive grounding member located on the surface of each groove. This cable includes two conductors each individually twisted with a short lay and thus maintained juxtaposed in the same groove of the layer. Application to cables for local area networks of computers working at frequencies that can attain 100 MHz.

An asymmetric contact having a first end part for connection to an external conductor and a second end part for elastic coupling with another similar contact. The second end part (4) is offset to one side of the axis of the first end part (1, 2, 3) and to the coupling part (8) between them, and is substantially half the width of the first end part. A terminal strip includes two parallel rows of the contacts facing each other. The contacts are arranged in successive pairs, each pair including first and second type contacts in opposite rows and having their second end parts to the right and left sides, respectively, of a central axis of the first end part and the coupling part. A distance (d1) between the second end parts of each contact in a pair is less than a distance (d2) between the second end parts of adjacent contacts of two different pairs.

Asymmetric contact and terminal strip equipped with such contacts

An easy-strip cable includes individually insulated electrical conductors assembled into sets and a continuous insulative sheath around said sets and separating them into two groups. The sheath is divided into two tubular portions substantially partly open at facing locations along the cable and joined together by two peripheral continuity tongues allowing the sheath to be opened as required. The cable can be used as a high-frequency signal transmission cable.
