A filter assembly comprises a filter element and an outlet flange. The filter element comprises a filter media pack comprising a plurality of filter media layers stacked on top of each other to form the filter media pack. The filter media pack has an inlet surface being at an inlet portion of the filter media pack, and an outlet surface being at an outlet portion of the filter media pack. An outlet flange is coupled to the outlet portion of the filter media pack.

An air cleaner assembly comprises a housing and a filter element. The housing comprises a first housing end and a second housing end. The second housing end of the housing defines an opening of the housing for fluid flow. The filter element is configured to be received through the first housing end of the housing. The filter element comprises a filter media and a closed endplate. The filter media comprises a first media end and a second media end. The second media end of the filter media defines an opening of the filter element for fluid flow. The closed endplate is positioned along the first media end of the filter media and comprises a wall with an axially inner surface and an axially outer surface. The axially outer surface is exposed to an area outside of the housing and closes off the first housing end of the housing when the filter element is positioned within the housing.

A dry material transfer pump comprises an outer tube including an outer tube channel having an upstream end that is axially aligned with a downstream end thereof, and a plenum portion having a cross-sectional width that is larger than a cross-sectional width of the outer tube channel. A pressurized gas inlet is defined through the outer tube and is in fluid communication with the plenum portion. An inner tube is disposed annularly within the outer tube channel and defines an inner tube channel configured to receive particulate matter. At least one opening is defined radially through a wall of the inner tube and fluidly couples the plenum portion to the inner tube channel to allow the pressurized gas to flow from the plenum portion into the inner tube channel and create suction within the inner tube channel for drawing the particulate matter through the inner tube channel.

A sensor status indicator (SSI) assembly comprises a sensing interface configured to be communicatively coupled to a wiring harness of a sensor and receive a sensor signal therefrom. The sensor signal indicates a sensor status corresponding to a status of an apparatus to which the sensor is coupled. The SSI assembly also includes at least one visual indicator; and a controller communicatively coupled to the sensing interface and the at least one visual indicator. The controller is configured to interpret the sensor signal to determine the sensor status, and activate the at least one visual indicator to generate a visual signal corresponding to the sensor status.

A crankcase ventilation system comprises a housing defining an internal volume structured to receive a. rotating air/oil separator element. The housing has a housing inlet structured to receive a fluid and a housing outlet defined tangentially in a sidewall of the housing which is structured to allow the fluid to exit the housing. An outlet conduit is fluidly coupled to housing outlet. The outlet conduit comprises an outlet conduit first portion axially aligned with the housing outlet, and an outlet conduit second portion positioned downstream of the outlet, conduit first, portion. A swirl breaking structure is positioned in at least one of an outlet conduit inlet and the outlet conduit second portion. The swirl breaking structure is configured to disrupt swirling flow of the fluid into the outlet conduit so as to reduce a pressure drop experienced by the fluid as the fluid flows from the housing into the outlet conduit.

A filter element comprises a filter media and a restriction indicator device. The restriction indicator device comprises an attachment portion and a movable portion. The attachment portion is attachable to a portion of the filter assembly. The movable portion is movable relative to the attachment portion between a non-buckled position and a buckled position. The movable portion moves from the non-buckled position to the buckled position once a predetermined pressure drop between an upstream side and a downstream side of the movable portion of the restriction indicator device is met.

Systems and methods for determining, using service component authenticity detection contained in a sensor module, whether an authorized or genuine service component element is installed in an automotive system are described. The authorized service component determination may be based on close-range communication technology such as radio frequency identification ('RFID') technology. An antenna in the sensor module may read the tag information from installed service component elements in a nearby service component and send any detected information into a filtration monitoring system. The filtration monitoring system or a remote diagnostic system analyzes the returned data (or absence thereof) to determine if a genuine (i.e., authorized, OEM approved, etc.) service component element is installed or not.
