A protective case for a mobile electronic device having a touchscreen constructed from at least two separate frame components is disclosed herein. The frame components include a back frame and a front frame or cover. In some embodiments, when a mobile electronic device is held within the back frame, a stretchable cover is stretched over the back frame and device to securely hold the device within the back frame. The front frame or cover includes a touchscreen cover. The front frame or cover is removably coupled to the back frame with grasping protrusions or engagement members that engage with corresponding components of the back frame.

Case for portable electronic device

A protective case for a mobile or portable electronic device is disclosed. The protective case includes a front portion and a back portion that is configured to slide into a side of the front portion to effectuate the sealing and closure of the case. The front portion is configured to cover the front face and sides of the electronic device and includes rails or protrusions on opposing sides of its internal surface. The back portion is configured to cover the back side of the electronic device and includes channels on opposing sides that are configured to be slide along the rails on the opposing sides the internal surface of the front component and thereby open and close the case. The protective case is configured to be reversibly attached to a stand module that facilitates multiple viewing/operating positions. The stand includes a base that is configured to be attached to the case, a hinged stand arm, and a slide cover that locks the hinged stand arm into various configurations that facilitate supporting the protective case and mobile device in multiple viewing/operating positions or orientations.

Protective case for electronic device

A protective case for a portable electronic device includes a back frame and a front cover. The back frame has a rigid plastic back frame with an elastomeric material bonded to portions of the plastic frame. An elastomeric insert is positioned around a portion of the interior perimeter of the back frame to provide impact resistance. Back frame engagement members are positioned on the perimeter of the rigid plastic back frame. The front cover mates with the back frame to enclose the elastomeric insert and the device. The front cover includes a touch screen cover and a rigid plastic front frame bonded to a perimeter of the touch screen cover. Front cover engagement members extend from the rigid plastic front frame that engage the back frame engagement members to hold the front cover on the back frame and enclose the device.

Protective device case

A device case for a portable electronic device includes a device stand attached to a hack surface of the case housing. The device stand is formed by an inner stand and outer stand connected by releasable hinged connections to the back surface of the case housing. A track is formed on a surface of the outer stand that the inner stand slides along. A locking portion such as a cavity or channel on the outer stand locks the inner stand into an open position with respect to the outer stand. At least a portion of the outer stand is flexible such that applying a threshold pressure to the device case causes the portion of the outer stand to flex such that the locking portion releases the inner and outer stand from the open position without damaging the stand.

A water resistant device case includes a front and back assembly that mate to enclose an electronic device. The front assembly includes a rigid front frame, a touch screen cover bonded to the front frame, an inner bumper attached to the rigid front frame and an elastomeric main seal attached around a periphery of the rigid front frame. The back assembly includes a rigid back frame, an elastomeric over mold formed on an exterior of the back frame and an inner bumper attached to the rigid back frame. A snap tab attached to the rigid back frame mates with a snap hook on the front assembly to hold the front and back assemblies together when the device is enclosed within the case. A main water resistant seal is formed around a perimeter of the front and back assemblies by the elastomeric main seal on the front assembly being held against an inner surface of the rigid back frame. A secondary water resistant seal is formed around a perimeter of the front and back assemblies by an elastomeric secondary sealing member attached around a periphery of the rigid front frame that mates with an exterior surface of the back assembly to form a secondary water resistant seal. A closed cell foam is used to seal apertures associated with the device's audio inputs and outputs.

A protective case for a portable electronic device includes a rigid plastic frame bonded to a stretchable rubber cover and a back panel insert that can be removably inserted into a pocket in the rear of the stretchable rubber cover and plastic frame. To position a device in the case, the device is simply inserted into the front opening of the rigid plastic frame and stretchable rubber cover such that the edges of the stretchable cover stretch over the device and secure the device in the case. A variety of different removable back panels allow the stand to be easily reconfigured to include a stand for the device case, a pocket adapted to hold payment cards, a folding style wallet, a mirror or a fabric covering.

A protective case for a portable device having a touch screen is constructed from a back frame, a front frame and a stretchable cover. The back frame receives the device through an open front and the stretchable cover is stretched over the back frame and the device. A portion of the cover stretches over the back frame and device such that the device is securely held in the back frame. A front frame with a transparent screen protector that allows the touch screen of the portable device to be used while the device is fully enclosed in the case is removably coupled to the back frame with grasping protrusions or arms that connect to mounting portions on the back frame that extend through openings in the stretchable cover.
