Described herein are systems and methods for providing introductory content before presentation of primary content. The introductory content engages the user's attention while the primary content is prepared for presentation and may improve the user experience. User input responsive to the introductory content may be used to indicate a point of interest within the primary content. Subsequent presentation of the primary content may begin at the point of interest or a point based at least in part on the point of interest.

Content displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI) such as a Web browser can be dynamically loaded and unloaded, or otherwise managed, based on factors such as a current view or focus position, allowing a user to view information in a list of objects without having to load all the objects at one time, which could slow down operation of the GUI.

Dynamic content management

The techniques and systems described herein place product information at a location in digital content where an existing object occurs. The techniques may select the product information based on profile data indicative of interests of a user viewing the digital content. Accordingly, the techniques may identify existing objects in the digital content before the user begins viewing the digital content. The techniques may also receive or access product information to be placed in the digital content. The product information may include identifiable brands, products, or services. Then, while rendering the digital content before the user begins viewing the digital content or while the user is viewing the digital content, the techniques may select product information to dynamically place into a scene of the digital content at a location where the existing objects occur.

Content displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI) such as a Web browser can be dynamically managed based on factors such as a current view or focus position, allowing a user to view information in a list of objects without having to load all the objects at one time, which could slow down operation of the GUI. Where a number of objects to be displayed is known, a page size can be set so that navigational elements of the GUI function as if all the objects are loaded, even though only a portion might be loaded at any given time. A background image can provide information where an object has not yet been loaded, providing a type of temporary content for the entire page without slowing down operation of the GUI.
