An electronic unit is constructed having a casing, at least partially flexible, at least partially made of a polymer material. The casing extends along a longitudinal axis (X) between two lateral ends and has a hollow cylindrical core for housing a portion of a core cable of a streamer, and a plurality of walls outwardly extending from the hollow cylindrical core, delimiting spaces configured for housing electronics, and having free ends. One of the walls and the hollow cylindrical core of the casing have a through-slot that extends longitudinally over a total length of the casing from one lateral end to another lateral end. An electronic board has at least one flexible part and configured for at least partially resting on free ends of at least two of the plurality of walls.

Electronic unit for a streamer

A digital seismic sensor adapted to be connected, via a two-conductor line, to an acquisition device. The digital seismic sensor includes: a digital sensor; a local sampling clock providing a sampling frequency; a receiver for receiving command data coming from the acquisition device and synchronization information providing accurate timing information to enable seismic sensor synchronization; a compensator for compensating, as a function of the synchronization information, a drift of the local sampling clock; a transmitter for transmitting seismic data towards the acquisition device; a driver for driving the receiver and the transmitter, according to a half-duplex transmission protocol over the two-conductor line and using a transmission clock extracted from the received command data; a power receiver for receiving electrical power; and a coupler for coupling the command and synchronization information receiver, the transmitter and the power receiver to the two-conductor line.

Networks of data acquisition modules may include wireless and cabled networks. The data acquisition modules may include no antennas, one antenna, or two antennas. The antennas may be removable from a port on the data acquisition node allowing a common module design between the wireless and cabled networks. A rigid shell with arms may be constructed to house the antennas and a cable connector. The rigid shell may protect the antennas during transport, installation, and use of the data acquisition modules. For example, when driving a module into the ground, the rigid shell may prevent damage to the antennas.

A data acquisition network includes an assembly of nodes including at least one wireless network of nodes in which two neighboring nodes transmit data between each other by radio waves. The assembly of nodes also includes at least one other network of nodes in which two neighboring nodes transmit data between each other by a cable. The data is also conveyed by radio waves. The at least one other network forms a cabled network of nodes.
