Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a transmitting device, such as a user equipment (UE) or network entity, may apply a pre-equalization operation and a normalization operation prior to transmitting a signal with an intra-symbol duty cycle. A receiving device (e.g., a UE or network entity) may receive the pre-equalized signal with a relatively low demodulation complexity based on the transmitting device pre-equalizing the signal. Additionally, or alternatively, the transmitting device may transmit an indication of the duty cycle to the receiving device in addition to the signal. The receiving device may divide the signal into streams and process the streams based on the indication of the duty cycle. Splitting the signal into streams and processing the streams to estimate symbols of the signal may support a relatively low demodulator complexity at the receiving device.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, the first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a control message indicating a set of pre-equalization transmission schemes supported by the first wireless device for receipt of messaging pre-equalized by the second wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit a measurement report that indicates a measurement of a wireless channel between the first wireless device and the second wireless device, where the measurement may be a signal-to-interference and noise (SINR) measurement. The first wireless device may receive a control signal indicative of a first pre-equalization transmission scheme to be used by the second wireless device for pre-equalization based at least in part on the set of pre-equalization transmission schemes and the measurement. The first wireless device may receive, via the wireless channel, a downlink message pre-equalized in accordance with the first pre-equalization transmission scheme.

Techniques for dynamic pre-equalization switching

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information for a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set, the configuration information indicating a usage type for the SRS resource set associated with Doppler tracking and a configuration for one or more associated SRS resource identifiers. Some configuration parameters of the SRS resource set and the associated SRS resource identifiers can be dynamically reconfigured in order to allow adaptive SRS time domain pattern for enhanced Doppler parameter estimation and/or synchronization loop tracking, among other examples. The UE may transmit one or more SRSs in accordance with the configuration or dynamic reconfiguration information for the SRS resource set and the associated SRS resources based at least in part on receiving the configuration and/or reconfiguration information. Configurations and dynamic signaling for doppler tracking sounding reference signal resource sets

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support synchronization signal block (SSB) coverage extension for a sub-terahertz (sub-THz) band. The UE may monitor for multiple primary synchronization signals (PSSs) in a first instance of an SSB, a number of PSSs determined by the base station based on a periodicity of the SSB. The UE may combine the PSSs and determine a frequency offset for the SSB. The UE may monitor for additional instances of the SSB in accordance with the frequency offset. In some examples, the UE may monitor for one or more secondary synchronization signals (SSSs) in the first and additional instances of the SSB and combine the SSSs. In addition, the UE may monitor for a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) in the first and additional instances of the SSB, and decode the PBCH using log-likelihood ratio (LLR) combining.

Synchronization signal block coverage extension for a sub-terahertz band

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration indicating an intra-slot DMRS pattern. The UE may receive, from the network entity, an indication of an inter-slot DMRS pattern. The UE may communicate, with the network entity, a message that is associated with a time domain resource allocation that includes multiple slots, the message including one or more DMRSs in accordance with the intra-slot DMRS pattern and the inter-slot DMRS pattern. Inter-slot demodulation reference signal patterns

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may obtain synchronization with a primary cell of a wireless network. The wireless communication device may receive an indication to activate a secondary cell of the wireless network. The wireless communication device may receive a reference signal (RS) of the secondary cell. The wireless communication device may obtain synchronization with the secondary cell based at least in part on an offset between the RS of the secondary cell and a reference time of the primary cell, the reference time based at least in part on the synchronization with the primary cell. The wireless communication device may communicate via the secondary cell based at least in part on the synchronization with the secondary cell. Numerous other aspects are described.

Secondary cell synchronization

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communication device, such as a network entity or a user equipment (UE), may transmit a message to another wireless communication device, such as a network entity, including a connection establishment request and an indication of a capability of the wireless communication device to support a value of a power efficiency threshold. The other wireless communication device may respond with signaling indicating for the wireless communication device to use a value of a power efficiency for communications between the wireless communication devices. The indication may include one or more parameters indicating the value of the power efficiency. The wireless communication devices may establish a connection in accordance with the value of the power efficiency.

Reporting power efficiency for communications

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for network assisted selection of UE antenna ports for uplink transmissions. A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting, to a network entity, a plurality of sounding reference signals over a plurality of UE antenna ports. The method further includes receiving, from the network entity, an indication of one or more antenna port indexes associated with one or more preferred antenna ports for uplink transmissions, and transmitting UE uplink transmissions to the network entity using one or more selected antenna ports of the one or more indicated preferred antenna ports.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit one or more messages that indicate a capability of the UE to support the reception of demodulation reference signals (DMRS) and time drift reference signals (TDRS) according to one or more signaling patterns configured by the network. The UE may then receive one or more control messages that indicate a first signaling pattern for one or more DMRSs and a second signaling pattern for one or more TDRSs, where the first signaling pattern corresponds to or is based on the second signaling pattern. The UE may receive a downlink shared channel multiplexed with the one or more DMRSs according to the first signaling pattern and may receive the downlink shared channel multiplexed with the one or more TDRSs according to the second signaling pattern.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration for SRS resources included an SRS resource set. The SRS configuration includes one or more first time domain parameters for the SRS resources. The UE may receive a dynamic indication of one or more second time domain parameters for the SRS resources. At least a subset of the one or more second time domain parameters are modified from the one or more first time domain parameters included in the SRS configuration. Techniques for dynamic adaptation of sounding reference signal time domain parameters

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Some aspects more specifically relate to discrete Fourier transform spread orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-S-OFDM) waveform pre-equalization for MIMO communications. A receiver device, such as an extended reality (XR) device, may be configured to offload a portion of data processing to a companion device, such as a user equipment (UE). In some aspects, the UE may generate a DFT-S-OFDM waveform and may apply a pre-equalization to the DFT-S-OFDM waveform. Applying the pre-equalization to the DFT-S-OFDM waveform may include applying a minimum mean square error (MMSE) pre-equalization to the DFT-S-OFDM waveform. The receiver device may receive the pre-equalized DFT-S-OFDM waveform from the UE and may process the pre-equalized DFT-S-OFDM waveform. For example, the receiver device may decode the pre-equalized DFT-S-OFDM waveform without performing fast Fourier transform (FFT) or inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) operations.
