A surgical instrument comprises a first member extending between a proximal end and a distal end configured for fixation with tissue. A second member defines a longitudinal passageway and is connected with a navigation component such that the distal end is disposable with the passageway at a selected distance from the navigation component. The navigation component is positioned relative to a sensor to communicate a signal representative of an orientation of the first member. A third member extends between a proximal end and a distal end. The third member is mountable with the first member along the orientation such that the distal end of the third member is engageable with the tissue. Systems, spinal implants, constructs and methods are disclosed.

Spinal implant system and method

A surgical guide is provided comprising a body defining a first cavity that is configured for disposal of a surgical instrument and an opening. A connector is disposable with the opening and is engageable with a surgical robot. At least one insert is disposable in the first cavity. A surgical instrument comprises a first member including a drive engageable with a first mating surface of a bone fastener. A surgical instrument is provided that includes a first member defining a longitudinal axis and including a first mating surface engageable with a second mating surface of a fastener. A second member includes an expandable portion. A third member is engageable with the expandable portion to releasably capture the fastener. A first lever is connected to the first member, and a second lever is connected with the first lever via a pivot. The levers being rotatable relative to the longitudinal axis between a non-locked orientation and a locked orientation such that the pivot is rotatable past axial alignment to fix position of the first member relative to the fastener. Surgical instrument and method

A surgical instrument comprises an outer sleeve including an inner surface that defines a cavity. An inner shaft is fixed with the outer sleeve and extends within the cavity. The inner shaft includes a drive engageable in a torque interface with a first mating surface of a bone fastener. An inner sleeve is disposed between the inner shaft and the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve is axially fixed and rotatable relative to the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve includes an element connectable in a connection interface with a second mating surface of the bone fastener. Systems, spinal implants and methods are disclosed.

A surgical instrument comprises a first member including a drive engageable with a first mating surface of a bone fastener. A second member is rotatable relative to the first member and includes an engagement element connectable with a second mating surface of the bone fastener. A surgical instrument includes a body member and a leg having a first end integrated with and extending from the body member. A head cavity is in the leg portion to hold a head. A channel is formed along a longitudinal length of the leg. An elongated rocker assembly includes an elongated lever arm coupled within the channel about a fulcrum and a spring actuation. A projection of the arm projects in a direction of the head cavity. A rocker slide lock has a collar slidably coupled around the body member and having a first position located between the body member and the actuation tab, such that a portion of the collar is under the actuation tab to limit pivotal motion of the rocker assembly, and a second position having a clearance from under the actuation tab.

Systems, methods of use and surgical instruments employing a secure slide lock to fasten a head

In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a monolithic percutaneous-screw system for use in spinal surgery. The system includes (i) a receiver having a distal base and a pair of opposing arms extending proximally from the base, a pair of opposing distal breakoff sections, each connected monolithically to a proximal end of a corresponding one of the arms, (ii) a pair of opposing proximal breakoff sections, (iii) a pair of opposing intermediate extenders, each extending from a distal end, connected monolithically to a corresponding one of the distal breakoff sections, to a proximal end connected monolithically to a corresponding one of the proximal breakoff section, and (iv) a guide cap connected monolithically to both of the proximal breakoff sections.

Monolithic percutaneous-screw system for spinal surgeries

A surgical instrument comprises a first member including a drive engageable with a first mating surface of a bone fastener. A second member is rotatable relative to the first member and includes an element engageable with a second mating surface of the bone fastener. The members are engageable with the bone fastener in a release configuration, an intermediate configuration and a locked configuration. Systems, surgical adaptors, spinal implants and methods are disclosed.

A modular surgical instrument is provided that includes a tower having a first end, a second end and a ratchet segment between the first end and the second end. The instrument includes a ratchet reduction mechanism. The ratchet reduction mechanism includes a ratchet lever, a linear ratchet rack integrated into a ratchet segment of the tower at a location between the first end and the second end, and a ratchet collar coupled to the ratchet lever. The ratchet collar is configured to slide along the ratchet segment by application of an applied force. The instrument includes a reducer that may be affixed to the ratchet reduction mechanism. The reducer is configured to move in unison with the slide of the ratchet collar.

Modular surgical instrument system with ratcheting reduction mechanism

A system comprising surgical instruments of different types. Each surgical instrument includes a body member and a leg having a first end integrated with and a leg portion extending from the body member. The instrument includes a head cavity formed in a free end of the leg. The cavity holds a head. A channel is formed along a portion of a longitudinal length of the leg. The instrument includes an elongated rocker assembly pivotally coupled within the channel, with a spring actuation tab in proximity to the body member. The instrument includes a collar slidably coupled around the body member and having a first position located between the body member and the actuation tab such that a portion of the collar is under the actuation tab to limit pivotal motion of the rocker assembly and a second position of the collar has a clearance from under the actuation tab.
