An outdoor telecommunications equipment enclosure includes a dome, a base for receiving the dome, and a slide lock assembly for coupling the dome to the base. The slide lock assembly includes a housing coupled to one of the dome and the base and defining a channel and a slider positioned within the channel. The slider is moveable between a retracted position and an extended position for engaging the other one of the dome and the base. In one example embodiment, one of the slider and the housing includes multiple protrusions in contact with the other one of the slider and the housing. The protrusions inhibit surface contact between the slider and the housing. In another example embodiment, the slide lock assembly includes a gasket, seal and/or plug to inhibit ingress of debris into the slide lock assembly. In yet another example embodiment, the slide lock assembly includes a rotator having an actuator head accessible to a user such that when the rotator is rotated in a first direction via the actuator head, the rotator moves the slider into the extended position.

In accordance with various embodiments, universal splitter module holder for a fiber optic distribution hub is provided. The universal hub splitter module holder is structured to retain any one of a plurality of fiber optic splitter modules within the fiber optic distribution hub. The universal splitter module holder includes a base and a hood removably connectable to the base to clamp and retain the splitter module between the base and the hood.

In accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure, an incremental slack limiting fiber management system for reducing slack in at least one optic fiber extending between an optic splitter module and a distribution module within a fiber optic distribution hub is provided. The incremental slack limiting fiber management system includes a plurality of slack limiting spools mounted to an internal panel of the distribution hub between the splitter and the distribution module.

In accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure, a distribution module for a fiber optic distribution hub is provided. The distribution module includes a plurality of service connection circuit trays structured to slidingly transition from a parked position to an extended position to allow independent access to any one of a plurality of optic fiber circuits retained within each respective circuit tray.

A modular terminal block assembly including modular shells having channel shaped and walled ends, multiple housings for insulation displacements connectors and slotted partitions. A universal connector with extending parallel arms connect abutting modular shells, and barrier strips are located within the modular shells abutting the housings. End shells are also attached to the modular shells. Grease is placed in the housing and in activators mounted to the housings. The shells are filled with potting compound where the arms and partitions integral with the shells act as reinforcing elements in the compound. Thereafter the compound hardens so as to strengthen and stiffen the connected shells. This results in a robust assembly.

A ground tie apparatus for electrically connecting a shield from a shielded cable to a ground terminal. The ground tie is formed of an integrally connected copper strip having two end portions, two tabs connected to one of the end portions and a sleeve connected to the other of the end portions. Closely located to the first end portion is a plurality of sharp teeth. The tie is connected to the shield by wrapping the portion of the strip with the teeth around the circumference of the shield and crimping the tabs about the strip.

A terminal block for distributing telecommunication signals, the block including a base, an outer housing, internal contacts, actuators and threaded bolts, the actuators engaging and disengaging feed wires with and from the contacts. The interior space occupied by the contacts, bolts and actuators is divided into front and back chambers and protective dielectric gel is injected but cured only in the front chambers. During movement of the actuators less dielectric material is extruded out of the block and thus electrical integrity of the block is enhanced.
