A ducted flexible entry boot assembly provides a fluid-tight fitting between a wall of a fluid containment region and a conduit passing through the wall. The ducted flexible entry boot assembly comprises a seal member adapted to be disposed within the containment region, the seal member having a substantially planar seal portion and an integral hollow support sleeve concentric with the seal portion and adapted to extend axially into the containment region. The support sleeve has an outer surface and an inner, conduit receiving surface, and has a degree of flexibility relative to the seal portion sufficient to allow for the insertion of the conduit at angles equal to or other than an angle normal to the fluid containment wall while maintaining a fluid-tight environment. A mechanism is provided for rigidifying the seal portion of the seal member. The hollow support sleeve is releasably attached to the conduit. A flexible, corrosion resistant sealing ring member is adapted to be disposed outside the containment region. A flexibly rigid ducting boot is integrally formed with, and extends outwardly from the sealing ring member. A mechanism is provided for sealing the sealing ring member to the wall. The seal member is releasably attached to the wall of the containment region.

Flexible entry boot

A sump has a one-piece body, comprising a hollow base member for collecting fluids leaking from a piping system, the base member having an upper portion and a lower portion. The one-piece body further comprises a hollow riser section having an upper portion defining an opening, and a lower portion, the riser lower portion extending upwardly from the base member upper portion, the riser section having sidewalls with a generally corrugated shaped cross section in an axial direction. The hollow base member has a bottom and sidewalls, each of the bottom and sidewalls having an outer surface. The base member is fiberglass encapsulated, which encapsulation comprises a fiberglass woven reinforcement pad layer disposed on the base member bottom outer surface; a chopped fiberglass material layer disposed on the sidewalls outer surface up to and including an area abutting the riser section lower portion; a polymeric coating material layer disposed on the fiberglass woven reinforcement pad layer and the chopped fiberglass material layer; and a polymeric sealant material layer disposed on a portion of the riser section lower portion and on a portion of the polymeric coating material layer, at the area abutting the riser section lower portion. The sump further comprises a lid and a mechanism for mounting the lid to the riser section upper portion in a water resistant manner.

The flexible entry boot assembly comprises a seal member disposed within the containment region. A securing plate, disposed within the containment region, is releasably mounted to the seal member. A hollow support sleeve, integral with the seal member, extends axially into the containment region. The support sleeve has an outer surface and an inner, conduit receiving surface, and further has a degree of flexibility sufficient to allow for the insertion of the conduit at angles equal to or other than an angle normal to the fluid containment wall while maintaining a fluid-tight environment. The flexible boot assembly further comprises a mechanism for releasably attaching the hollow support sleeve to the conduit. A flexible, corrosion resistant sealing ring member is disposed outside the containment region. A mechanism, carried by the sealing ring member, is provided for releasably attaching the seal member to the wall of the containment region.

A flexible entry boot provides a fluid-tight fitting between a wall of a fluid containment region and a conduit passing through the wall. The flexible entry boot comprises a seal member disposed within the containment region; and a securing plate disposed within the containment region and releasably mounted to the seal member. A flexibly rigid, hollow support sleeve is attached to the seal member. The hollow support sleeve has a degree of flexibility sufficient to allow for the insertion of the conduit at angles equal to or other than an angle normal to the fluid containment wall while maintaining a fluid-tight environment. A mechanism is provided for releasably attaching the hollow support sleeve to the conduit. An outer sealing member is disposed outside the containment region; and an inner sealing member is disposed inside the containment region, the inner sealing member being matingly and sealingly engageable with the outer sealing member, with the wall of the fluid containment region extending therebetween. A mechanism is provided for releasably attaching the seal member to the inner sealing member.
