Systems and methods of confirming an addressee of an email message include receiving an email message addressed to one or more forwarding addresses. At least one email address associated with each of the one or more forwarding addresses is obtained. A potential discrepancy in the email message is detected in response to the at least one obtained email address. Before sending the email message, an alert is issued to a sender of the email message. The alert provides a recommendation regarding whether to continue with sending the email message and identifies content associated with the email message that led to detecting the potential discrepancy.

Electronic mail messaging system and method

Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to core dump generation during application fault handling and provide a method, system and computer program product for privacy preservation of core dump data during application fault handling. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for privacy preservation of core dump data during application fault handling can be provided. The method can include receiving a crash signal for an application and generating a core dump with object data for the application. The method further can include obfuscating the object data in the core dump and writing the core dump with obfuscated object data to a file. In this way, the privacy of the object data in the core dump can be preserved.

Core dump privacy during application failure

An approach is provided in which a resolution manager stores a machine-readable problem, which includes a problem signature, and a human-readable solution in a document. The resolution manager receives an output file from a computer system and matches an output entry included in the output file to the problem signature. In turn, the resolution manager identifies the human-readable solution corresponding to the matched problem signature and provides the identified human-readable solution to the computer system.

Combining problem and solution artifacts

The present invention can include a method, computer program product, and system for mediating access to content of a software dump. The invention can identify an event occurring within a computing device, which causes data to be dumped to file. A dump file can be created responsive to the event, wherein the dump file includes data defining a state of the computing device. Using an analysis module to analyze the dump file to determine content to be placed in a tailored dump file. In one embodiment, custom analysis modules or custom modifications to existing analysis modules can be added to the computing device at any time, which permits a tailoring of dumps to cover circumstances not originally known in advance of a situation for which they are needed. The tailored dump file can include a subset of the content of the dump file for which access privileges have been granted in accordance with the analysis module. The output file can be created, which comprises the determined content.
