This invention provides a coaxial cable of the type comprising a central electric conductor and a peripheral electrically conducting screen separated from one another by a solid dielectric, this cable further comprising optical fibres embedded in the dielectric and symmetrically distributed between the central conductor and the peripheral screen.

Coaxial optical fibre cable

An optical radiation generator, controlled by an input current, comprising a light emissive diode optically coupled to an optical waveguide and a photodiode located close to the radiating surface of the emissive diode for picking off a part of the optical radiation and for delivering a feedback current which is used in a current negative feedback loop. The light emissive diode, the extremity of the waveguide and the photodiode are encased in a transparent material providing optical coupling and mechanical stability.

Optical radiation generator electrically controlled

The invention relates to a coupling device for an optical waveguide, using a hologram recorded in a photoresist layer arranged on a face of the waveguide, and capable of coupling a wave having a predetermined wafe front and travelling outside the waveguide and a plane wave travelling inside the guide. The invention also describes a holographic method for manufacturing such a coupling device.
