A channel supporting device includes a support member having two clamps between which trunking is accommodated. The clamps each have an upper projection which defines between them and above the trunking housing for receiving a channel. The channel locks the support member around the trunking.

Manufacture of electrical trunking containing, in a metal enclosure, a set of parallel electrical conductors supported at regular intervals on insulative contact blocks. A single sheet metal blank is bent and crimped to produce a tubular profile with joined edges 27, 28, the conductor assembly 31 is then slid into the tube and each support contact block 30 is centered in a respective branch opening 18 using a tool inserted through the opening. The contact block is clamped against the opening by an elastic expansion device.

Electrical trunking and method of manufacturing the same

The invention concerns a suspension member (1) for electrical trunking including clamps (2, 3) between which the trunking (5) is accommodated and a fixing member (23b) for fixing the trunking to a support (5a). One of the clamps is a pivoting clamp assembled and articulated to the suspension member by assembly and pivot means (6) and retained in a holding position on the trunking by elastic locking means (9).

Prefabricated electrical trunking made up of butt-jointed unit enclosure sections. A mechanical coupling is provided by use of flanges clamped by bolts passing through tubular spacers inside the enclosure sections. The spacers include openings receiving in a watertight manner swaged portions of orifices formed in the enclosure sections. A unit conductor assembly is housed in the coupling.

The internal member has water drainage grooves on its outer surface near a mating plane of the butt-joint. An exterior member fits over the joints and its two halves are bolted together.

A power distributor device is disclosed for electric installations, comprising, for housing a set of power bars, an insulating case formed preferably of several interlockable modules. A power distribution device is disclosed for electric apparatus, comprising a set of power bars housed inside an insulating case mounted fixedly in the central cavity of a profiled rail and a removable support element having a flat bottom bordered by two parallel lateral flanges provided with a hooking device for removably fixing the support element on the rail. The bottom of the support plate carries the electric apparatus, as well as a connector pluggable on the set of bars and having guide cheeks permitting plugging/unplugging by a translational movement remaining substantially perpendicular to the plane of the set of bars.

A top hat rail is disclosed for fixing snap-fit apparatus, formed by shaping in the form of an omega a metal strip of predetermined thickness and having a web and two flanges. The flanges of said rail are deformed towards their free ends so that the edge of the flanges has, for the apparatus to be snap-fitted, a useful fictitious thickness, this thickness being determined between two support zones situated on each side of the flange. The fictitious thickness is equal to the thickness of a standardized rail and substantially greater than the real thickness.

The device for locking the manual control lever (14) of an electrical appliance such as a switch comprises two adjacent portions (1) pivotally joined together by means of a hinge portion (2), fastening means (3) each extending along an edge portion located in spaced relation to the hinge portion (2), at least one bearing surface (4) provided on one of the adjacent portions (1) and at least one locking orifice (5) formed in each adjacent portion and so arranged as to come into position in register with the corresponding locking orifice (5) of the other adjacent portion (1) when the device is in the locking position. A connection means serves for the electrical coupling of ends of bus bars situated in protection sheaths, and has clips under the action of resilient members and associated with each phase to be connected, the clips being actuated by as many locking means as there are phases to be coupled. The heads of the locking means have a shape and arrangement such that the mechanical association of the upstream and downstream sheath ends can only be effected in the open state of the clips, while the positive closing of the device can only be effected in the inverse state.
