A catheter assembly includes a catheter, part of which forms an insertable length to be inserted through a body opening and a catheter receptacle to accommodate at least part of the catheter such that an insertable portion of the catheter is enclosed but part of the catheter is left outside of the receptacle. Also disclosed is a method for producing a catheter assembly which includes providing a receptacle having an opening, providing a catheter which has a catheter tube and a connector on one end thereof, arranging the catheter tube in the receptacle, and connecting the receptacle to the connector to close the opening.

Catheter assembly

A catheter assembly is provided comprising a catheter including a catheter tube and a connector arranged in one end of the catheter tube. The catheter is preferably a urinary, hydrophilic catheter. Further, the assembly comprises a catheter receptacle, a compartment accommodating the wetting fluid, the compartment being an integrated part of the receptacle but is separated from the cavity, the separation between the wetting fluid compartment and the cavity accommodating the catheter providing a rupturable sealed enclosure with at least one point of weakness.

A catheter assembly is provided comprising a catheter () including a catheter tube () and a connector () arranged in one end of the catheter tube. The catheter is preferably a urinary, hydrophilic catheter. Further, the assembly comprises a catheter receptacle () for accommodation of at least the catheter tube, wherein the receptacle is provided with an opening (), said opening being connected to and closed by the connector () of the catheter. A method for producing such a catheter assembly is also provided.

A catheter assembly is disclosed comprising a catheter and a receptacle enclosing said catheter. The receptacle has a first part and a second part, which parts are foldable over each other. Further, at least one sticky adhesive area is arranged on the surface of one of the parts of the receptacle in such a way that the sticky adhesive area is covered by the other part when the receptacle is in a folded disposition, and exposed to the environment when the receptacle is in an unfolded disposition.

A rectal insertion device () for the treatment of disorders of the digestive tract of a human or animal patient having a body () comprises a forward section () which in an operative position of the device is disposed in the anal canal of the patient, a first passageway () which extends forward opening () in the forward section, a rearward section () having a forward end which in the operative position is disposed extra-coporeally and a second passageway () which extends rearwardly in the device from a second forward opening () in the forward end of the rearward section. The second passageway acts to catch faeces discharged from the anal canal not caught in the first passageway.

A wetting apparatus () for wetting a hydrophilic urinary catheter (), comprising: a wetting fluid container () containing a wetting fluid and being openable by the application of a pulling force thereto; a wetting receptacle (); and a hydrophilic urinary catheter () to be wetted by said wetting fluid and being arranged within said wetting receptacle (). The wetting fluid container () is arranged within the wetting receptacle (), and the wetting receptacle is extendable, for opening the wetting container without rupturing a sealed condition of the wetting receptacle.
