A laser processing apparatus, a filter device and a method are used for controlling a pulse laser, which is controllable in terms of its pulse energy and of a temporal triggering of laser pulses, during material processing of an object, in particular during the marking of a plastics-based document. The method includes comparing a pulse energy signal which assumes voltage values, in temporal correlation with a clock signal, which represent a pulse energy for the laser pulses for processing, with a threshold value condition and generating a logic result signal. The clock signal is passed to a gate and controlling the gate using the logic result signal and generating a retrieval signal thereby. An energy control signal is provided which has a voltage according to a specification of a control voltage. The retrieval signal and the energy control signal are used to control the pulse laser.

A memory module system, a method for operating a memory module system, and an adapter card is disclosed. One embodiment provides last one memory buffer device, and a first plug mechanism for connecting the adapter card to a memory module system, and a second plug mechanism for connecting the adapter card to a memory module.

Memory module system

One embodiment of the invention provides an adapter card for connection to a data bus in a data processing unit. The adapter includes a DDR interface for connection of a DDR memory module, a memory unit for storing test mode data, a switching device, which, in a first switching state, connects the data bus to the DDR interface and, in a second switching state, decouples the DDR interface from the data bus and connects the memory unit to the DDR interface such that test mode data may be transmitted to a connected DDR memory module to call up a test mode in the DDR memory module. The adapter also includes a control circuit with a trigger input to control the switching device between the switching states depending on a trigger signal.
