The present disclosure relates to drug-delivery apparatuses, and in particular, to a drug-delivery apparatus with a fluidic subsystem that can be used to deliver multiple injections to a patient from a drug container storing a drug fluid. The fluidic subsystem may include multiple injection-needle compartments and re-sealable septa to allow multiple accesses to the drug container, while also preserving the sterility of the drug fluid and of the fluid pathway through which the fluid is delivered to a patient. In some embodiments, the fluidic subsystem may be used to deliver drug fluids that do not contain any preservatives (e.g., non-preserved drugs).

A drug container assembly for use with a parenteral drug delivery device is disclosed. The container assembly includes a container configured to hold the medication and an intermediate port connector. The port connector may be fixedly coupled to the container and removably coupled to the delivery device in a convenient, reliable, and sealed manner. In use, the port connector may convey the medication from the container to the delivery device for delivery to the patient.

Fluid container devices, methods and systems

An insulin infusion set (IIS) device with one or more features designed to achieve longevity in a patients continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) site viability. One exemplary feature is an adsorbent material configured to adsorb phenolic excipients (e.g., m-cresol or other preservatives) from the insulin formulation. The adsorbent material may be positioned along a fluid pathway specifically designed to increase and/or extend exposure between the insulin formulation and the adsorbent material. Another exemplary feature is a medicament configured to reduce the patients inflammation or slow the progression of the patients inflammatory response. Yet another exemplary feature is a diffusive catheter configured to deliver the insulin formulation in a diffuse manner.
