The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for imaging identification information. In one aspect, a video stream of a credential document is obtained via a camera. It is determined whether the video stream of the credential document meets one or more imaging criteria. In accordance with a determination that the imaging criteria are not satisfied, a first indication that the credential document is not ready to be imaged is presented. In accordance with a determination that the imaging criteria are satisfied a second indication that the credential document is ready to be imaged is presented.

Systems and methods for imaging identification information

The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for remote document validation. In one aspect, a method is performed at a server system and includes: (1) receiving video stream data representing a document, where: (a) the data includes timing information that indicates when the video images were captured, and (b) the data captures characteristics of the document; (2) determining, based on the data, that the document comprises a first type of document; (3) assessing the characteristics, including for each characteristic: (a) determining whether verification criteria for the characteristic has been satisfied; and (b) updating an aggregate assessment score for the document based on the determination; (4) after assessing the characteristics, determining whether the aggregate assessment score satisfies a validity threshold; (5) determining whether the video stream was captured within a predefined threshold; and (6) providing an authorization indicator based on the aggregate assessment score and the timing information.

Systems and methods of image processing for remote validation

The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for imaging identification information. In one aspect, a method of acquiring an image of a credential document is performed at a client device having a camera and a display. The method includes: (1) obtaining, via a user interface, information regarding a type of the credential document to be imaged; (2) obtaining a video stream of the credential document via the camera; (3) determining whether the video stream of the credential document meets one or more imaging criteria; (4) determining whether the credential document in the video stream has a credential document type that matches the obtained type of the credential document; and (5) in accordance with a determination that the imaging criteria are satisfied and that the credential document in the video stream does has a credential document type that matches the obtained type of the credential document, automatically capturing an image of the credential document.

The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for identifying users. In one aspect, a method includes (1) receiving from a server a request to identify a user; (2) in response to the identification request, sending a request for encoded image data corresponding to one or more features of the first user, the request specifying a particular encoding for the image data; (3) receiving encoded image data corresponding to the one or more features of the first user; (4) obtaining stored image data for an authorized user corresponding to one or more features of the authorized user; (5) determining whether the first user is the authorized user based on a comparison of the received encoded image data and the stored image data; and (6) providing to the remote server an identification indicator based on the determination of whether the first user is the authorized user.

Systems, devices, and methods for identifying user data

The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for imaging identification information. In one aspect, a method is performed at a client device having a camera and a display. The method includes: (1) obtaining information regarding a type of a document to be imaged; (2) obtaining a video stream of the document; (3) determining whether the video stream of the document meets one or more imaging criteria; (4) determining whether the document in the video stream has a document type that matches the obtained type; (5) if the imaging criteria are not satisfied or the credential document does not have a matching credential document type, presenting an indication that the document is not ready to be imaged; and (6) if the imaging criteria are satisfied and the document has a matching credential document type, presenting an indication that the document is ready to be imaged.

Described herein are techniques for acquiring an image of a user's credential document through a user device. A method includes capturing information from a user interface regarding a particular type of credential document to be imaged, receiving a video stream of the user's credential document from a camera of the user device, displaying the video stream on a display of the user device, and determining whether a set of criteria for capturing the image of the user's credential document are satisfied. If the criteria are not satisfied, the method presents a first indication on the user device that the user's credential document is not ready to be imaged. If the criteria are satisfied, the method presents a second indication on the user device that the user's credential document is ready to be imaged and captures an image of the user's credential document.
