A cable retrieving system is disclosed for a charging station adapted for recharging an electric vehicle, the charging station comprising an electric cable and a plug for enabling an electrical connection with the electric vehicle, the system comprising a mechanical wire having a first end secured to the electric cable and a second end; an enclosure comprising an opening suitable for the mechanical wire and a pulling mechanism located in the enclosure, the pulling mechanism comprising a weight member located in the enclosure and mounted on a portion of the mechanical wire to thereby create a pulling force on the mechanical wire to thereby pull the electric cable towards the charging station.

Cable retrieving system for electric vehicle charging station

A power circuit for a dual voltage range charging station is disclosed. The power circuit comprises a first group comprising at least one DC power module, the first group having a first corresponding terminal and a second corresponding terminal; a second group comprising at least one DC power module, the second group having a first corresponding terminal and a second corresponding terminal; a configuration selection unit operatively connected to the first corresponding terminal of the first group, to the second corresponding terminal of the first group, to the first corresponding terminal of the second group and to the second corresponding terminal of the second group; wherein in a first configuration, the first corresponding terminal of the first group is operatively connected to the first corresponding terminal of the second group and the second corresponding terminal of the second group is operatively connected to the second corresponding terminal of the second group and a first given voltage is provided between the first corresponding terminal of the first group and the second corresponding terminal of the second group and further wherein in a second configuration, the second corresponding terminal of the first group is operatively connected to the first corresponding terminal of the second group and a second given voltage greater than the first given voltage is provided between the first corresponding terminal of the first group and the second corresponding terminal of the second group.

A method and system are disclosed for managing power demand of a plurality of charging stations sharing the same portion of an electrical network, the method comprising obtaining an indication of a maximum value of power allowed at the portion of the electrical network; obtaining an indication of a current power consumed at the portion of the electrical network; managing a charging configuration of the plurality of charging stations to ensure that the current power consumed at the portion of the electrical network stays lower than the maximum value of power demand allowed.

A method and system are disclosed for managing power sharing of a plurality of charging stations sharing the same portion of an electrical network, the method comprising detecting an event at a charging station of the plurality of charging stations; determining if a charging configuration is acceptable with the event and if the charging configuration is not acceptable, modifying the charging configuration accordingly.
