A theater seat assembly includes a pair of opposed stanchions for attachment to a support surface, a generally horizontal seat portion disposed between and operatively connected to the stanchions, and a generally upright back portion disposed between and operatively connected to the stanchions. The theater seat assembly may include a lounge mechanism operatively connected to the back portion and the stanchions to allow the back portion to lounge rearward relative to the stanchion. The theater seat assembly may also include a cushion suspension system operatively connected to the seat portion and the stanchions to allow the seat portion to deflect downwardly relative to the stanchions. The theater seat assembly may further include each one of the seat portion and the back portion having a frame, a cushion disposed adjacent the frame and a trim cover covering the cushion and attached to the frame.

Theater seat assembly

A theater seat assembly includes a pair of opposed stanchions for attachment to a support surface, a generally horizontal seat portion disposed between and operatively connected to the stanchions, and a generally upright back portion disposed between and operatively connected to the stanchions. The theater seat assembly may include a counter-balanced pivot mechanism operatively connected to the seat portion and the stanchions to allow the seat portion to pivot freely relative to the stanchions when unoccupied relative to the stanchion. The theater seat assembly may also include a molded cover attached to at least one of the seat frame and the back frame and being injection molded from a fiberglass reinforced co-polymer.

Fuel tank closure

A fuel closure assembly is especially useful in multi-layer fuel tanks. An opening in a fuel tank wall having an externally threaded nipple forms a planar sealing surface. An seal is centered about a radial surface of the nipple. A plate closes the opening and is retained in position by a threaded ring.

Fuel tank closure assembly

A method of attaching a member to the interior of a blow-molded plastic fuel tank wall. The wall is molded from a pliable parison. An inwardly directed projection is formed integral with the wall. The projection has an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface forms a cavity receiving a core. The core is inserted within the cavity while the parison is partially pliable and fuzes to the wall. The projection is inserted through an aperture in the member and heated. The softened projection is squashed to secure the member to the wall.

Method for fastening plastic articles

The present invention provides a fuel tank comprising a generally planar fuel tank bottom and upstanding wall on the fuel tank bottom. A passage within the wall has a throat area for admitting fuel to the reservoir. A baffle attached to the wall and placed adjacent the throat area deflects fuel away from the passage. The reservoir is designed to contain a first minimum quantity of fuel when the vehicle is approximately level and a second minimum quantity of fuel when the vehicle is inclined, the second quantity of fuel being roughly one-third the first minimum quantity of fuel. The reservoir acts to confine fuel within an area to be withdrawn by a fuel pump or pick-up nozzle and supplied to an engine.
