A system for measuring an angle of a joint of a user includes a center hub, a first arm, a second arm, a magnet, and a sensor. The center hub includes a first hub and a second hub. The first arm is configured for attachment to a first limb portion of the user at a first outer end and to the first hub at a first inner end. The second arm is configured for attachment to a second limb portion of the user at a second outer end and to the second hub at a second inner end, wherein the first hub is pivotally coupled to the second hub. The magnet is coupled to the second hub. The sensor is disposed in the center hub and configured to detect a rotation of the magnet.

Wearable device for coupling to a user, and measuring and monitoring user activity

A system and method for installing devices on a user can include an indicator set comprising a marker to place markings on the user, and a set of adhesive pads to be placed on the user. A knee pivot anchor can be attached to the user. A template having a proximal portion can be pivotally mounted to the knee pivot anchor. A distal portion of the template can be positioned at different locations on the user. The template also can have an aperture. A set of pods can be interchangeably located in the aperture of the template. Each pod can be secured to respective locations on the user. The template and the knee pivot anchor can be removed from the user with the pods remaining in place on the user to support a goniometer.

System, method and apparatus for anchoring an electronic device and measuring a joint angle

A pedal assembly for electromechanical exercise or rehabilitation of a user is disclosed and can include pedals to engage appendages of a user. A spindle supports each pedal and has a spindle axis. A pedal arm assembly is located between the spindle and a rotational axle of the equipment. The pedal arm assembly is radially offset from the spindle axis to define a range of radial adjustability for the pedal relative to the rotational axle. The pedal arm assembly can include an electrically-actuated coupling assembly to adjust the radial position of the pedal in response to a control signal, and regulate motion of the user engaged with the pedals.

System, method and apparatus for electrically actuated pedal for an exercise or rehabilitation machine

In some embodiments, a system for rehabilitation includes an electronic device including a memory device for storing instructions, a network interface card, and a sensor. The system includes a processing device operatively coupled to the memory device, the network interface card, and the sensor, wherein the processing device executes the instructions to determine angles while a user is engaging one or more pedals of an electromechanical device, and transmit, via the network interface card, the angles to a computing device controlling the electromechanical device, and based on the angles satisfying a range of one or more respective motion threshold conditions, wherein, while the user operates at least one of the one or more pedals, the transmitting the angles to the computing device causes the computing device to increase a diameter of a range of motion of one of the one or more pedals.

The system for rehabilitation includes one or more electronic devices comprising one or more memory devices storing instructions, one or more network interface cards, and one or more sensors, wherein the one or more electronic devices are coupled to a user. The system for rehabilitation further includes one or more processing devices operatively coupled to the one or more memory devices, the one or more network interface cards, and the one or more sensors. The one or more processing devices are configured to execute the instructions to receive information from the one or more sensors. The one or more processing devices are further configured to execute the instructions to transmit the information to a computing device controlling an electromechanical device, via the one or more network interface cards.

A system for rehabilitation is disclosed. The system for rehabilitation includes a monitoring device that includes a memory device storing instructions and a network interface card. The monitoring device is configured to detect information from a body part of a user. The system for rehabilitation further includes one or more processing devices operatively coupled to the monitoring device. The one or more processing devices are configured to execute the instructions to receive configuration information specified in a treatment plan for rehabilitating the body part of the user. The one or more processing devices are configured to execute the instructions for receiving the information from the monitoring device. The one or more processing devices are further configured to execute the instructions to transmit the configuration information and the information to a computing device controlling an electromechanical device, via the network interface card.

A system for rehabilitation includes an electronic device comprising a memory device for storing instructions, a network interface card, and a sensor. The system for rehabilitation further includes a processing device operatively coupled to the memory device, the network interface card, and the sensor. The processing device is configured to execute the instructions to determine a plurality of angles, wherein the plurality of angles comprises at least one of the following: angles of extension of a first body part of a user extended away from a second body part of the user at a joint, and angles of bend of the first body part retracting closer toward the second body part. The processing device is further configured to execute the instructions to transmit the plurality of angles to a computing device controlling an electromechanical device, via the network interface card.

An electromechanical device for rehabilitation includes pedals coupled to radially-adjustable couplings, an electric motor coupled to the pedals via the radially-adjustable couplings, and a control system including a processing device operatively coupled to the electric motor. The processing device configured to, responsive to a first trigger condition occurring, control the electric motor to operate in a passive mode by independently driving the radially-adjustable couplings rotationally coupled to the pedals. The processing device also configured to, responsive to a second trigger condition occurring, control the electric motor to operate in an active-assisted mode by measuring revolutions per minute of the radially-adjustable couplings, and cause the electric motor to drive the radially-adjustable couplings when the measured revolutions per minute satisfy a threshold condition, and responsive to a third trigger condition occurring, control the electric motor to operate in a resistive mode by providing resistance to rotation of the radially-adjustable couplings.

Control system for a rehabilitation and exercise electromechanical device

Electromechanical rehabilitation of a user can include receiving a pedal force value from a pedal sensor of a pedal; receiving a pedal rotational position; based on the pedal rotational position over a period of time, calculating a pedal velocity; and based at least upon the pedal force value, a set pedal resistance value, and the pedal velocity, outputting one or more control signals causing an electric motor to provide a driving force to control simulated rotational inertia applied to the pedal.
