According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a helmet comprising an inner shell () a detachable outer shell () and an intermediate layer () between the inner shell and the outer shell. At least one connecting member () is configured to directly connect the inner shell to the outer shell, and allow sliding between the inner shell and the outer shell, when the outer shell is attached to the helmet. When the outer shell is attached, the outer shell and the inner shell are configured to slide relative to one another in response to an impact. A sliding interface is provided between the intermediate layer and one or both of the outer shell and the inner shell.

A helmet with two layers configured to slide with respect to each other is provided. The surface of one or both layers contains a sliding facilitator to improve slidability between the two layers. The sliding facilitator may be any one or a combination of (i) an organic polymer, a polysiloxane and a surfactant; (ii) an organic polymer and a copolymer based on a polysiloxane and an organic polymer; or (iii) a non-elastomeric cross-linked polymer obtained or obtainable by subjecting a polysiloxane and an organic polymer to a cross-linking reaction.

A helmet having two layers that slide with respect to each other is provided. The surface of one or both layers includes a sliding facilitator to improve slidability between the two layers. The sliding facilitator includes at least one of (i) an organic polymer, a polysiloxane and surfactant; (ii) an organic polymer and a copolymer based on a polysiloxane and an organic polymer; or (iii) a non-elastomeric cross-linked polymer obtained or obtainable by subjecting a polysiloxane and an organic polymer to a cross-linking reaction.

The invention relates to a connection arrangement () adapted to connect a first () and a second part () slidably arranged in relation to each other. The connection arrangement () is characterized in that said connection arrangement () is adapted to allow the sliding movement between the first () and the second part () in all directions. The arrangement () comprises a connection member () directly or indirectly connected to at least one of the first part and the second part () and a device creating a spring force and/or a damping force () during sliding movement between the first and second part () adapted to be connected with or to cooperate with said connection member (). The invention further relates to a helmet () comprising a first helmet part () to be arranged closer to a wearer's head, a second helmet part () arranged radially outside of the first helmet part () and at least one connection arrangement () according to the above connecting the first and the second helmet part ().
