A power delivery system includes: an AC-to-DC power supply configured to output initial DC power; a first power delivery unit connected to the power supply and having at least one output port, the first power delivery unit being configured as a DC-to-DC power converter to provide converted DC power through the at least one output port, the converted DC power having a different voltage and/or a different current than the output initial DC power; and a second power delivery unit connected to the power supply or the first power delivery unit through an input port and having at least one output port, the second power delivery unit being configured as a DC-to-DC power converter to provide an output DC power through the at least one output port which has a different voltage and/or a different current than the power received through the input port.

An electrical receptacle assembly including a first and second housing, a circuit and an electrical cable. The first housing has a plurality of electrical power output selections. The second housing has an electrical receptacle connector presented on a face thereof, the circuit is in the second housing being coupled to the connector. The electrical cable is coupled to the circuit and to the electrical power output selections, the circuit selecting one of the plurality of electrical power output selections to be supplied from the first housing to the connector.

A furniture system including at least one furniture element having at least one raceway and a modular electrical wiring system at least partially located in the raceway. The electrical wiring system includes a plurality of wire distribution assemblies, an electrical assembly and an electrical switch. The plurality of wire distribution assemblies includes a first wire distribution assembly and a second wire distribution assembly. The electrical assembly partially electrically connects the first wire distribution assembly and the second wire distribution assembly. The first wire distribution assembly has a first number of electrical conductors. The electrical assembly is electrically connected to a second number of electrical conductors of the first wire distribution assembly, the second number being smaller than the first number. The electrical switch is configured to electrically connect a first electrical conductor of the first wire distribution assembly that is a member of the second number of electrical conductors to a second electrical conductor of said first wire distribution assembly that is a member of the first number of electrical conductors and not a member of the second number of electrical conductors.

Switchable electrical power system

An electrified wall panel in a modular furniture environment includes a plurality of multi-port electrical distribution blocks diversely located throughout the panel. Certain ones of the multi-port electrical distribution blocks are fixed to wall panel frame members and other ones of the multi-port electrical distribution blocks are free of the wall panel. A plurality of jumper cables, each having connectors at opposite cable ends are adapted to mate with any one of the multi-port electrical distribution block ports. The cables electrically interconnect the distribution blocks to form one complete circuit. There are a plurality of electrical receptacles, each having an electrical connector near one end which are electrically coupled to a port of a corresponding multi-port electrical distribution block. The system is assembled by fixing a jumper mounting bracket to a jumper cable near one end of the jumper cable. The jumper mounting bracket is attached to a support member. A modular electrical component such as an electrical receptacle is electrically connected to the power distribution block and is mechanically connected to the jumper mounting bracket thereby stabilizing the power distribution system on the support member.

System to place receptacles and distribution blocks

A method of assembling and stabilizing a power distribution system on a support member includes the steps of: fixing a jumper mounting bracket to a jumper cable near one end of the jumper cable; fastening a power distribution block to the support member; electrically coupling the jumper cable one end and the power distribution block; attaching the jumper mounting bracket to the support member; electrically connecting a modular electrical component to the power distribution block; mechanically connecting the modular electrical component to the jumper mounting bracket; fastening a second power distribution block to the support member at a preferred location relative to the location of the first mentioned distribution block; fixing two additional jumper mounting brackets to a second jumper cable, one near each of the opposite ends of the second jumper cable; electrically coupling one end of the second jumper cable to the first mentioned power distribution block; electrically coupling the other end of the second jumper cable to the second power distribution block; and attaching the two additional jumper mounting brackets to the support member.

An electrical jumper assembly for an electrical distribution system, where the electrical jumper assembly includes at least one conductor carrier generally having a longitudinal direction, and a plurality of conductors in the at least one conductor carrier. A first electrical connector is connected to the plurality of conductors. The first electrical connector includes a first part directly connected to at least one conductor carrier, and a second part which has a plurality of terminals electrically connected to respective ones of the plurality of conductors. The second part is laterally offset from the first part, and the second part is approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction.

Jumper assembly for an electrical distribution system

A circuit selector assembly including an electrical conductor, an electrical contact, a first spring beam connected to the electrical contact and a second spring beam connected to the electrical contact. The second spring beam biases the electrical contact to a first position, the first spring beam being deflected when the electrical contact is in a second position, the second position being defined as when the electrical contact is contacting the electrical conductor.

A power distribution jumper assembly includes a relatively fixed rigid support member, a multi conductor cable for supplying electrical energy to power utilization equipment and an electrical connector at one cable end. There is a jumper bracket mechanically coupled to the support member which mechanically supports the cable end and corresponding connector. A multiport electrical power distribution block receives the electrical connector. An electrical component is electrically connected to the power distribution block. The jumper mounting bracket extends from the support member and is mechanically connected to and rigidly supports the electrical component, connector and cable end.

Jumper with integral receptacle bracket

A power distribution block assembly has a plurality of electrical receptacles and a multi-port electrical power distribution block with at least three like longitudinally aligned connector receiving ports near one block end and at least three like longitudinally aligned additional connector receiving ports near a block end opposite the one block end. An intermediate one of one the ports is adapted to receive a power supply connector and a pair of the ports spanning the intermediate port are adapted to receiving corresponding electrical receptacles to thereby position the power supply connector intermediate and sandwiched between the receptacles. An intermediate one of the additional ports is also adapted to receive a jumper cable connector. A pair of the additional ports spanning the intermediate additional port, are each adapted to receive a corresponding additional electrical receptacle so that the jumper cable connector is located intermediate and sandwiched between the additional receptacles. Each electrical receptacle comprises an elongated electrical duplex receptacle having an electrical connector near one end thereof for mating with an outer one of the connector receiving ports so that there may be two or more duplex receptacles extending in a common direction of elongation from the power distribution block in a cantilevered manner, or there may be two duplex receptacles elongatedly extending in opposite directions from the power distribution block in a cantilevered manner.

An adapter for distributing electrical energy has an insulating housing and a plurality of electrical contacts with each contact having at least three radially extending electrically conductive arms terminating near respective ports within the housing. The insulating housing is formed of first and second matable housing portions with each portion having two sets of alignable recesses. Each recess receives a portion of one electrically conductive arm. The first housing portion also has a set of centrally located cavities each aligned with corresponding first housing portion recesses to receive the third conductive arm of a corresponding contact whereby, one arm of each contact may be introduced into each cavity with the other two arms seated in corresponding recesses, and the second housing portion mated to the first housing portion capturing the contacts therein. Optionally, the housing further includes a receptacle terminal accepting port array and each electrical contact includes a fourth radially extending arm. The fourth arm of each contact extends to the receptacle terminal accepting port array. In this case, three of the conductive arms comprise relatively flat coplanar elongated blades and the fourth conductive arm comprises a resilient clip.
