An in line measuring device, includes a measuring transducer having: a least one measuring tube vibrating, during operation, and serving for conveying, a two- or multiphase, flowable medium; an exciter mechanism for producing vibrations of the at least one measuring tube; a sensor arrangement for registering vibrations of the measuring tube and for delivering an oscillation measurement signal representing oscillations of the measuring tube, and a measuring device electronics electrically coupled with the measuring transducer. The measuring device electronics delivers, at least one exciter signal driving the exciter mechanism, and, in such a manner that the at least one measuring tube, during operation, &#x2014;driven by the exciter mechanism driven by means of the at least one exciter signal&#x2014;is excited, to execute vibrations in a wanted mode of the measuring transducer, in which it, at least partially, executes bending oscillations about an imaginary bending oscillation axis of the measuring transducer, Moreover, the measuring device electronics ascertains, a damping value of first type, which represents, instantaneously, a damping of vibrations of the at least one measuring tube, which opposes the bending oscillations of the at least one measuring tube corresponding to the Coriolis mode.

In-line measuring device

An in line measuring device, includes a measuring transducer of the vibration-type having: at least one measuring tube vibrating, at least at times, during operation, and serving for conveying, at least at times, a two- or multiphase, flowable medium; an exciter mechanism acting on the measuring tube for producing vibrations of the at least one measuring tube; and a sensor arrangement for registering vibrations of the at least one measuring tube and for delivering at least one oscillation measurement signal representing oscillations of the measuring tube. The in line measuring device further includes measuring device electronics electrically coupled with the measuring transducer. The measuring device electronics delivers, at least at times, at least one exciter signal driving the exciter mechanism, and, at least at times, ascertains a damping value of first type, which represents a change of damping opposing the vibrations of the measuring tube within a predeterminable time interval.

An inline measuring device, includes a measuring transducer having: at least one measuring tube vibrating, during operation, and serving for conveying, at least at times, a two- or multiphase, flowable medium; an exciter mechanism for producing vibrations of the measuring tube; and a sensor arrangement for registering vibrations of the measuring tube and for delivering oscillation measurement signal representing oscillations of the measuring tube. Measuring device electronics electrically coupled with the measuring transducer. The measuring device electronics delivers, at least one exciter signal driving the exciter mechanism, and, ascertains a damping value of a first type, which represents, instantaneously, a damping of vibrations of the at least one measuring tube induced by medium conveyed in the at least one measuring tube and antisymmetric with reference to an imaginary central plane of the at least one measuring tube coplanar with a cross section of the measuring tube, and/or which represents, instantaneously, a damping of vibrations of the at least one measuring tube induced by medium conveyed in the at least one measuring tube.

A Coriolis flow meter, which includes: at least one measuring tube, which is excited to oscillate during measurement operation, and through which a medium flows, first and second sensors for registering a flow-dependent oscillation of the measuring tube and for producing first and second sensor signals; and two separated, signal-processing branches. According to a method of flow measurement a reference signal is superimposed on the first or second of the sensor signals, by the passing through both signal processing branches of an auxiliary signal formed by the superimposing, and by the filtering of a first, conditioned, reference signal from a first signal occurring on the output of the first signal processing branch and the filtering of a second, conditioned, reference signal from a second signal occurring on the output of the second signal processing branch, and by determining a ratio of the amplification gains of the signal processing branches on the basis of the conditioned, reference signals.

Coriolis flow meter and method for flow measurement

This circuit is suitable for flow tubes ( ) the vibration frequency of which is in the order of 1 kHz. A fluid to be measured flows through the tube ( ) vibrating in operation at a frequency determined by the density of the fluid. Attached to the tube ( ) are electromagnetic vibration sensors ( ) positioned at a given distance from each other delivering sinusoidal sensor signals (x , x ). Impedance-matching devices ( ) are fed by the sensor signals. Inputs of an intermediate switch ( ) are connected to the outputs of impedance-matching devices. Additional impedance-matching device ( ) are fed by outputs of the intermediate switch. Low-pass filters ( ) are connected to the outputs of the additional impedance matching devices. The upper cutoff frequency of low-pass filter ( ) differs by about 10% to 15% from the upper cutoff frequency of low-pass filter ( ). Zero-crossing detector ( ) are fed by the outputs of the low-pass filters. The start and the stop inputs of a time-to-digital converter ( ) are connected to the outputs of the zero-crossing de-tectors, respectively. An output of a high-frequency clock generator ( ) is coupled to the clock input of the time-to-digital converter from the output signal of which and a signal (k) representative of a calibration factor, a micro-processor ( ) generates a signal (q) representative of mass flow rate.
