A method provides a route-specific service to a user of a vehicle. The method includes receiving a set of driven navigation routes of the vehicle, and identifying navigation route clusters using the set of driven navigation routes. The method also includes training a machine learning method using the identified navigation route clusters as training data. The method further includes receiving a characteristic of a current journey of the vehicle, and predicting a probability for each identified navigation route cluster of the vehicle depending on the received characteristic, using the trained machine learning method. A navigation route cluster with the highest predicted probability is identified, and the route-specific service is provided to the user of the vehicle for the current journey if the navigation route cluster with the highest predicted probability has a probability value that exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Providing a route-specific service to a user of a vehicle in accordance with a predicted navigation route

A device and a method for outputting navigation information for a vehicle are provided. Position data, destination data, and parking data containing information relating to at least two parking space positions and the availability of parking spaces at the at least two parking space positions can be provided via an input interface. A data processing device is configured to determine an order in which at least some of the at least two parking space positions should be approached based on the provided position data, destination data and parking data in such a manner that the determined order meets an optimization criterion. The data processing device is also configured to check whether the optimization criterion can be met by waiting at the at least one parking space position or by returning to a parking space position to be approached before the at least one parking space position.

A method optimizes a parking space search for a vehicle. Processing position data relating to a vehicle, in order to determine the start of a search for a parking space, includes determining an end position and determining at least one inefficiency value by comparing at least part of a drive with at least one linear distance to the end position, wherein the at least one inefficiency value identifies an inefficiency of the drive. A method automatically detects parking zones in at least one residential street, wherein a) a computing unit is provided; b) information in the form of panoramic images of the at least one residential street is inputted from an external data store; c) information in the form of street data of the at least one residential street is inputted from a map database; d) an internal database is generated, which persists the panoramic images; e) the inputted panoramic images are analyzed for the presence of vehicles; f) the inputted panoramic images are analyzed for the presence of street signs and traffic signs; g) from the analyses of the presence of vehicles and the presence of street signs and traffic signs for at least one selected residential street, expected existing no-parking/no-stopping zones are determined; h) a data set that contains the detected information regarding identified vehicles, street signs, and the markings of no-parking/no-stopping zones and parking zones is generated, and i) the information contained in the data set is visualized on a terminal unit.

A method is provided for processing measurement data of a vehicle in order to determine the start of a search for a parking space.
