A modular flooring system is provided to convert uneven terrain into a substantially horizontal flat surface. The modular flooring system may include a frame defining the area desired for the substantially horizontal flat surface, a plurality of malleable support members that may be used as a single layer or multiple layers, where the malleable support members may be loosely filled sand-filled bags. The system may also include a plurality of flat rigid panels larger than the malleable support members to bridge the gaps between adjacent malleable support members, thus transforming a generally level layer of malleable support members into a substantially flat flooring surface.

Modular flooring system

A plurality of interlocking tile pieces form a generally flat traffic-carrying surface. The tile are locked together in a manner to form a plurality of non-bendable tile joints. The tile includes a hinge or fold line along a first axis and a hinge or fold line along a second axis. The hinges allow the multi-tile traffic carrying surface to be rolled up into a hollow tube from any direction along one of the axes, beginning at any edge of the traffic carrying surface. The rolled-up floor covering is made up of a plurality of tile panels.

A modular containment wall for a sports area. The containment wall is an assembly of panels, each panel having a first edge, an opposing second edge, and interlocking members configured and arranged for (i) interlocking the first edge to a first adjacent panel and (ii) interlocking the second edge to a second adjacent panel. Support legs are rotatably disposed on a back wall of the panels. Each support leg is removably attachable to at least three different attachment sites at the back wall of a panel. The interlocking, modular design of the containment wall enables quick and easy assembly and reassembly, as well as modification to form door ways, sitting areas and similar component structures. In one embodiment, the rear side of the panel includes a recess formed therein. During periods of nonuse, the support leg can be rotated into the recess in a storage position, permitting easy stacking and storage of the panels with the support legs neatly disposed in the rear recesses.

Dasher board

A hockey puck with locking runners of various shapes is self-orienting and highly visible. The puck has runners with notches disposed in holes with protrusions such that the notches and protrusion mate, locking the runners in the puck and aligning the runners in the holes. The puck has a perimeter side wall with a radius of curvature such that the puck self-orients to a horizontal orientation when it rises up on its side. The puck also has a protrusion formed on the side wall that forces the puck into a precessing motion pattern such that the puck self-orients to a horizontal orientation when rolling on its side. The runners may have a portion that extends through the curved perimeter wall past an edge of the puck to prevent the edge from catching on the playing surface and flipping the puck. An indentation is formed in each of a upper and lower surfaces of the puck. The indentations have an interior side wall and bottom wall defining a primary and secondary visible surface respectively. A reflective material is disposed on the visible surface such that the puck is easier to see.

Hockey puck

A modular tile for interlocking with other similar tiles to form a floor covering which provides enhanced traction at its playing surface and improved tolerance to sudden lateral movement. The tile comprises a plastic support grid having rectangular configuration bounded by a perimeter wall and including a repeating pattern of intersecting cross members with interstitial openings formed inbetween. A plurality of support legs are coupled to a base side of the cross junctions in general perpendicular orientation. Interlock structure is coupled to and extends outward from the perimeter wall to enable removable attachment with other modular tiles of similar design. The interlock structure provides a continuous, uniform displacement gap between adjacent perimeter walls which establishes a separation distance between the range of 0.5 to 2 millimeters, and also provides a yielding response to absorb lateral forces. A continuous sheet of plastic provides a flat surface cap to the tile, which enables its use as part of a continuous flat athletic floor covering.
