A seal () for sealing a lubricant space prevents lubricant () escaping. A rolling stand has a seal of this kind. The seal () is made at least partially from elastic material. To enable a pressing force FR, with which the bottom face () of the seal is pressed against an opposite contact surface (), for example of a roll journal (), to be variably set, the seal () has at least two cavities, which are separated from each other in the circumferential direction and which are open towards the lubricant space of the bearing.

Seal to prevent lubricant escaping, and rolling stand having said seal

A roll stand for the rolling of rolling stock, especially metal products. The roll stand includes at least two chocks for mounting at least one roll, the roll being rotatably mounted in the chocks by its two cylindrical roll necks. A cylindrical neck bushing is arranged on the roll neck with radial play. A rotationally fixed annual axial bearing is axially offset from the neck bushing. The bearing arrangement for the roll necks in the chocks is formed as a plain bearing, preferably a hydrodynamic oil film bearing. When subjected to a load in a rolling process, the neck bushing moves and deforms not only in the radial direction, but also in the axial direction.

Roll stand

A bearing closure device has a externally threaded ring that can be slid onto a roll journal. One stop close to the roll barrel and one stop away from the roll barrel are provided on the roll journal in order to limit the axial movement of the threaded ring. A ring nut with an internal thread is screwed onto the external thread of the threaded ring. To facilitate safe screwing on and unscrewing of the ring nut and to keep screws pressure-free during the operation of the bearing a pressure ring is mounted between the bearing and the threaded ring in an axially displaceable manner. In addition, a plurality of screws can be screwed into axial threaded bores in the threaded ring in order to press against the pressure ring in the axial direction. Finally, the ring nut can be screwed or adjusted against the pressure ring.

Bearing closure device and method for operating the same

The invention relates to a rolling stand for the rolling of metallic rolling stock. The rolling is achieved with the aid of a roll of which the two roll journals () are rotatably mounted in recesses () of chocks (). The recesses are supplied with coolant and/or lubricant via a high-pressure inlet () and at least one low-pressure inlet (). The high-pressure inlet is fed via high-pressure conduits () from a high-pressure pump (). To reduce the costs for driving the high-pressure pump in relation to the prior art, the invention provides that the high-pressure pump is rotationally coupled to the roll journal via a gear mechanism in order to be driven thereby.

Rolling stand for the rolling of rolling stock

A volume flow regulating valve for controlling the volume flow of a fluid medium in two outflow ducts. The volume flow regulating valve is composed of a cylinder with a dual piston mounted axially displaceably in the cylinder, with a central pressure chamber being formed in the region of the barbell-shaped central piece of the dual piston. Aside from an inlet for the fluid medium, it is also the case that the two outlet ducts are provided at the central pressure chamber. The outlet ducts are arranged on the cylinder with such an axial spacing that&#x2014;when the dual piston is situated in a central position in relation to the two outlet ducts&#x2014;the first outlet duct&#x2014;preferably partially covered by the first piston&#x2014;and the second outlet duct&#x2014;preferably partially covered by the second piston&#x2014;each open up an equal opening cross-sectional area.

Volume flow regulating valve

The invention relates to a device and a method for mounting a bearingon a roll neck and for removing the bearing from the roll neck of a roll. Known devices of this type have a first and a second piston/cylinder unit. They also have a stop ring, fixed in the axial direction A at the end of the roll neckremote from the body, which acts as a stop for the inner pistonof the first piston/cylinder unit. In addition, the known devices have a nutwhich can be screwed onto an external thread of the inner piston to secure the bearingin the axial direction, in particular during a rolling operation. As an alternative to the known prior art, the present invention provides that an annular cylinderserves both as a cylinder for the first piston/cylinder unit and as a cylinder for the second piston/cylinder unit. For its function as a cylinder for the second piston/cylinder unit, said annular cylinder is covered to a certain ex ent on its side remote from the body by an annular cylinder cover. The cylinder coverserves, together with an outer flangeof an outer piston, to axially delimit a removal pressure chamberof the second piston/cylinder unit.

Device and method for mounting a bearing on a roll neck and for removing the bearing from the roll neck

The invention relates to a sealing device for installation in a roll arrangement between the roll journals of a roll and chock. The sealing device has an annular main body having sealing rims that extend radially outwards. Furthermore, the sealing device has an annular reinforcement element having a strip-like section which coaxially surrounds the main body on the outer side thereof. In order to ensure the dimensional stability and thus also the function of the sealing device even after the installation thereof in the roll arrangement, that is to say after said sealing device has been pushed onto the frustroconical roll journals, the reinforcement element according to the invention has, in addition to the coaxial strip-like section, at least one flange which is connected thereto and is connected to the sealing rim. Furthermore, the invention relates to said roll arrangement.

Sealing device and roll arrangement

The invention relates to an installation part for mounting an upper support roll in a roll stand. The installation part has, on its cambered side, a lubricant receiving space, from which at least one lubricant drain hole () extends, in the lower region of the installation part, in the direction of the drain side of the installation part. In order to be able to reduce the width in the lower region of the installation part and while guaranteeing the stability of the installation part, it is proposed according to the invention that the distance d from the center point of the lubricant drain hole () to the vertical longitudinal center plane LM of the installation part is &#x2266;half of the diameter of the main hole and that&#x2014;in the vertical longitudinal center plane&#x2014;the vertical minimum distance s from the counter-surface of a ring seal () in the lower region of the installation part to the horizontal tangential plane () at the top edge of the lubricant drain hole is not below a specified minimum clearance threshold value.

Installation part and method for the production thereof

In an installation part () in a rolling stand for receiving a roll journal () having a journal bush () of a roll which is used in the processing of steel and non-ferrous metals, wherein the installation part () has a cambered side () which faces the roll and a run-out side () which lies opposite the cambered side (), having lubricant receiving spaces () on the cambered side (), at least one housing tongue () is provided on the cambered side () for the at least partial delimitation of the lubricant receiving spaces () with respect to one another and for the formation of a gap () with the journal bush (), the width of which gap () is below a predefined gap width threshold value.

Installation part for receiving a roll journal

A journal seal for rolling bearings, wherein the journal seal includes a ring-shaped sealing body, which is rotatably fixed to a roller journal with the bearing surface coaxially oriented in relation to the bearing axis and with at least two spaced webs facing away from the bearing axis. The webs being directly or indirectly in contact with an annular projection. A reinforcing element for that reinforces the sealing body. The reinforcing element has a width that is greater than the outer distance of the two webs.
