A fan assembly, and associated methods are shown that may include tapering configurations in a nozzle assembly. Configurations are shown that are optimized for thrust. Examples of assemblies and methods are shown that include sound attenuating materials and jagged edges to reduce noise. Configurations are shown that provide a substantially constant or increasing air velocity. Configurations are also shown that provide a static pressure of 120 percent or less of a given dynamic pressure.

Elongated air jet device and method

An air flow assembly, such as a fan assembly, and associated methods are shown that may include one or more media dispensing nozzles. Examples of assemblies and methods are shown that include nozzles located within hollow vanes. Other examples of fan assemblies and methods are shown that create multiple cross sectional vortices that may be useful to concentrate a dispersed media.

Media concentration device and method

An improved guide vane for an inline fan is provided, as is an inline fan assembly so characterized. The vane guide includes a first vane segment characterized by first and second end portions, and a second vane segment characterized by first and second end portions. The second end portion of the first vane segment is in a spaced apart and overlapped arrangement in relation to the first end portion of the second vane segment. The first end portion of the first vane segment is an adjacent most vane guide end portion in relation to an impeller of the fan. The first vane segment is of arcuate configuration, with the second vane segment being of linear configuration.

Guide vane and inline fan assembly

An improved exhaust fan housing, and exhaust fan assembly so characterized, is generally provided. The exhaust fan housing includes a first cylindrical or conical element, a second cylindrical element interior of the first cylindrical element, and a plurality of hollow vanes traversing an annular fluid passage chamber delimited thereby and uniting the first and second cylindrical elements. A central drive chamber, delimited by the second cylindrical element, is in fluid communication with ambient air exterior of the first cylindrical element via the hollow vanes. Each hollow vane is characterized by spaced apart wall segments which unitingly terminate so as to delimit a leading edge for each hollow vane, each of the spaced apart wall segments having a free end or a closed end delimiting first and second trailing edges for the hollow vanes.
