A method of accessing and cleaning an interior portion of a gas scrubber canister in-situ. A removable glass member is attachable to a flange formed on the canister. By removing the removable glass member an access port in communication with the interior portion of the canister is provided. A vacuum device is insertable through the access port to clean the interior portion in-situ.

Method for in-situ cleaning of a gas scrubber

A rejuvenable ambient temperature purifier is provided. The purifier includes an enclosure with a chamber having an inlet and an outlet. Purifier material comprising a mixture of a transition metal material and a getter material is disposed within the chamber. The transition metal material is in a dispersed form with at least 5% of the transition metal material being in metallic form. The getter material is also in a dispersed form intermixed with the transition metal material. The getter material is selected from the group including Zr, Ti, Nb, Ta, V, and alloys thereof.

Rejuvenable ambient temperature purifier

A method and system for predicting the end of life of a packed resin or dry chemical bed in a gas scrubber including providing a plurality of thermocouples spacedly disposed in the packed bed, the thermocouples being operatively coupled to a processor, monitoring the motion of an exothermic wavefront through the packed resin or dry chemical bed by periodically sampling the thermocouples and computing a time at which the exothermic wavefront will have traversed the packed resin or dry chemical bed, the computed time being the end of life of the packed resin or dry chemical bed.
