A medication delivery system having a holding chamber capable of delivering dosages of medicament from a metered dose inhaler. The holding chamber includes an actuator detector, a flow detector, and a display. In another embodiment, a medication delivery system includes a holding chamber having an input end and an output end, a metered dose inhaler operably coupled to the input end of the holding chamber, and a metered dose inhaler identifier associated with the holding chamber and operable to identify the metered dose inhaler coupled to the holding chamber.

Medication delivery system with mask

A nasal mask has a flexible bottom edge portion and side portions. A delivery device includes a holding chamber coupled to the nasal mask. A method of delivering an inhalable substance includes positioning a nose of a user in a cavity of the nasal mask, inhaling through the nose, and orally soothing the user with a soothing device.

Delivery device and kit, and method of use

An elastomeric component includes a body feature and a retaining feature coupled to the body feature. The retaining feature includes an insertion end portion, and a retention end portion spaced apart from the insertion end portion along a longitudinal axis. The insertion end portion defines a catch spaced apart from the retention end portion and having a contact location adapted to make first contact with an edge of a retaining hole. The contact location is spaced apart from the catch a first distance. The retaining feature has a blind pocket extending from the retention end portion interiorly of the retaining feature along the longitudinal axis. The blind pocket terminates at an end location spaced from the catch. The elastomeric component may be coupled to a wall defining the retaining hole. Methods of assembly, and an apparatus for installation, are also provided.

Elastomeric component and apparatus and method for assembly thereof

A medication delivery system having a holding chamber capable of delivering dosages of medicament from a metered dose inhaler. The holding chamber includes an actuator detector, flow detector and display. In another embodiment, a medication delivery system includes a holding chamber having an input and an output end, a metered dose inhaler operably coupled to the input end of the holding chamber, and a metered dose inhaler identifier associated with the holding chamber and operable to identify the metered dose inhaler coupled to the holding chamber.

Smart valved holding chamber

A delivery device includes a toroidal shaped housing defining an interior chamber and a central open space. The housing includes an input port communicating with the interior chamber and a delivery port positioned on an inner periphery of the housing. The delivery port is in fluid communication between the interior chamber and the central open space. The delivery port is spaced from the input port, which is adapted to receive an aerosolized medicament. In another aspect, a kit includes an outer ring-like housing component and a plurality of differently configured inner ring-like housing components mateable with the outer ring-like housing to form a holding chamber. A method of delivering an inhalable substance is also provided. A mask, including mounting and sealing portions is also provided, together with a method of manufacturing such a mask. Delivery devices include various alternative adapters to be used with a mask and a substance dispenser.

A metered dose inhaler ('MDI') applicator is disclosed that includes a carrier, a housing, an adjuster and a lever. The carrier defines an aperture configured to receive a boot of a MDI. The housing is configured to be assembled with the carrier and to move in a vertical direction within the MID applicator relative to the carrier. The adjuster is configured to move between a locked position and an unlocked position, wherein when the adjuster is in the locked position, the adjuster is configured to prevent the carrier and the housing from moving in one or more directions relative to one another. The lever is pivotally connected to the housing and is configured to transfer a force applied to the lever to a canister of the MDI and to actuate the MDI to dispense an aerosolized medicine.

Metered dose inhaler applicator

A delivery device includes a toroidal shaped housing defining an interior chamber and a central open space. The housing includes an input port communicating with the interior chamber and a delivery port positioned on an inner periphery of the housing. The delivery port is in fluid communication between the interior chamber and the central open space. The delivery port is spaced from the input port, which is adapted to receive an aerosolized medicament. An indicating device for a dispenser that dispenses metered dosages of a medicament from a container having a valve moveable between a closed position and an open position. The indicating device includes an indicator housing having a first cover with a first vertical wall and a second cover with a second vertical wall. One of the first or second covers includes a base defining a lower surface of the indicator housing, and the other of the first or second covers includes a top defining an upper surface of the indicator housing. The first and second covers are joined with the first and second vertical walls and the base and the top defining an interior space therebetween. An indicator is rotatably disposed in the interior space of the indicator housing, with the indicator including dosage indicia. A dispensing device includes a dispenser housing and an indicating device.

Indicating device

An apparatus and method for performing positive pressure (PP) therapy alone or in combination with an aerosol delivery apparatus. The positive pressure apparatus includes a positive pressure valve having a continuously variable respiratory window. The PP valve may be associated with a patient respiratory system interface alone, such as, but not limited to, a mask or mouthpiece, or in combination with an aerosol delivery apparatus.

Aerosol delivery apparatus

In a modular medicament delivery system, a dispenser housing has a support block with a well and an orifice communicating with the well. A first container assembly includes a valve stem shaped to be received by the well in the support block. The first container assembly has a first exterior shape. A second container assembly includes a valve stem shaped to be received by the well in the support block. The second container assembly has a second exterior shape that is different than the first exterior shape. An insert member is adapted for mounting to the dispenser housing in the cavity and defines an interior space shaped to receive the second exterior shape of the second container. Methods of assembling the system, a system kit and a device are also provided. A medication delivery device includes first and second end pieces and a collapsible chamber disposed therebetween.

Modular aerosol delivery system

An adapter for use in a breathing circuit including a housing with a conduit having a ventilator port adapted to be coupled to a breathing circuit and a patient port adapted to communicate with a patient interface. A medicament container receptacle communicates with the conduit between the ventilator port and the patient port. The receptacle includes a support block having a well shaped to receive a valve stem extending from a container of medicament and an actuator finger extending upwardly in the receptacle adjacent the support block. The actuator finger is adapted to actuate a dose counter coupled to the container.

A dispensing device for dispensing metered dosages of a medicament from a container includes an indicator housing having an interior and an opening communicating with the interior. A first actuator is disposed within the interior and includes a resilient arm member defining a pawl portion. The first actuator is reciprocally moveable between an actuated position and an at-rest position. A spring is disposed in the indicator housing and biases the first actuator towards the at-rest position. A ratchet gear is rotatably disposed in the indicator housing, and is rotatable in response to the movement of the first actuator between the actuated and at-rest positions. An indicator is rotatably disposed in the indicator housing and is rotatable in response to the rotation of the ratchet gear. A second actuator is shaped to be received through the opening in the indicator housing. The second actuator and indicator housing are moveable relative to each other between first and second positions. The second actuator is inserted through the opening, contacts the first actuator and moves the first actuator to the actuated position when the second actuator and indicator housing are moved to the second position. The first actuator is biased to the at-rest position by the spring when the second actuator and the indicator housing are moved to the first position. A method of dispensing metered dosages of medicament is also provided.
