A closed fluid transfer system for fluidly interconnecting a syringe to any one of a patient I.V. set, a vial and an I.V. bag, is provided and includes a first adapter defining a lumen and supporting a seal across a first end of its lumen, the first adapter supporting a rear end of a needle within the lumen, wherein the seal is movable relative to the needle such that a tip of the needle penetrates through the seal; and a second adapter defining a lumen and supporting a seal across a first end of its lumen; wherein when the second adapter is coupled to the first adapter, the second adapter seal abuts the first adapter seal and moves the first adapter seal relative to the tip of the needle such that the tip of the needle penetrates through the abutting first adapter seal and second adapter seal.

Aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for processing a digital image of a document, for example, to determine whether the document is a long document. An exemplary method generally includes obtaining a plurality of digital images of the document, segmenting at least a first digital image of the plurality of images into pixels associated with a foreground of the first digital image and pixels associated with a background of the first digital image, detecting a plurality of contours in the segmented first digital image, deciding, for each detected contour of the plurality of contours, whether that contour is an open contour or a closed contour, and determining that one or more sides of the document is out of bounds based, at least in part, on the decisions.

The trocar assembly may include a housing defining boundaries of a chamber with (a) a proximal opening configured to receive a distal end of a scope, and (b) a distal opening in fluid and mechanical communication with a trocar cannula. The trocar assembly may further include a cleaning element located at least partially between the proximal opening and the distal opening, where the cleaning element is movable with respect to the housing from at least a first setting where a first portion of the cleaning element may be in a first location and may form a first cleaning surface within the chamber, the first cleaning surface configured to remove debris from a distal end of the scope when the distal end of the scope contacts the first portion of the cleaning element.

The present disclosure relates to a housing for a laparoscopic trocar assembly with an integrated scope-cleaning structure. The housing may include a shell forming a wall portion of a chamber and a cleaning element forming at least a portion of an internal surface of the chamber, the cleaning element configured to remove debris from a distal end of a scope upon contact between the cleaning element and the distal end of the scope. The cleaning element may be movable with respect to the shell of the housing in response to an input force upon the shell that moves a portion of the shell and a portion of the cleaning element between a default state and a displaced state.

The present disclosure relates to capturing a document. In certain embodiments, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is performed on each of a plurality of images to identify one or more character sequences in each image. Each image may comprise a portion of the document. In some embodiments, points of connection are identified among the plurality of images based on the one or more character sequences in each image. In certain embodiments, a unified image of the document is produced by stitching the plurality of images together based on the points of connection.

A roof integrated photovoltaic system includes a plurality of photovoltaic panels each having a right end, a left end, a front edge, and a back edge. A right end coupler is secured to the right ends of at least some of the photovoltaic panels and a left end coupler is secured to the left ends of at least some of the photovoltaic panels. The right end couplers and the left end couplers are configured to interlock and form a seal when two of the plurality of panels are moved into end-to-end engagement with each other. At least one front edge coupler is affixed to at least some of the plurality of photovoltaic panels at the front edges thereof and at least one back edge coupler is affixed to at least some of the plurality of photovoltaic panels at the back edges thereof. The front edge couplers and the back edge couplers configured to interlock when two of the plurality of panels are moved into edge-to-edge engagement and a seal is positioned to prevent water from penetrating at the junction of a front edge of one panel and the back edge of an adjoined panel. Panels are installed on a roof in end-to-end and front edge to back edge relationship to form a photovoltaic array and are electrically interconnected to produce electricity when exposed to sunlight. Flashing and gap filling faux panels are provided as part of the system. In an alternate embodiment, a frame formed from individual rails surrounds and holds a frameless solar laminate and the frame also forms the coupling features.

Roof integrated photovoltaic system

The present disclosure relates to a trocar assembly with an integrated scope-cleaning structure. The trocar assembly may include a chamber with a proximal opening configured to receive a distal end of a scope. A cannula extend distally from the chamber and may be configured to extend distally into a patient body. The present disclosure relates to the extraction of text from an image including a depiction of a document. According to one embodiment, a mobile device receives an image depicting a document. The mobile device identifies a plurality of text areas in the document and identifies a midpoint of each of the plurality of text areas in the document. The mobile device detects one or more lines of text in the document including a plurality of text areas, where the plurality of text areas included in a line of text are associated with a midpoint having a coordinate within a threshold number of pixels on one axis in a two-dimensional space. Based on an orientation of the detected one or more lines of text, the mobile device determines a probable orientation of the document and extracts text from the image based on the determined probable orientation of the document.
