A fenestration automated operating system includes a fenestration frame, fenestration panel and one or both of a panel operating assembly or a panel latch assembly. The panel operating assembly is coupled with one or both of the fenestration frame or the fenestration panel. The panel operating assembly includes a panel actuator coupled with the panel actuator. A panel latch assembly is coupled with one or both of the fenestration frame or the fenestration panel. The panel latch assembly includes a latch and a latch actuator coupled with the latch. A fenestration controller is configured to operate each of the latch actuator and the panel actuator.

Fenestration automated operating system and methods for same

A fenestration assembly includes a glazing unit includes a pane spacer between exterior and interior panes proximate glazing unit edges. A fenestration frame is coupled around the glazing unit and includes a frame core extending around the glazing unit. The frame core includes a unitary core wall including a composite material that is hollow and extends continuously from a core interior face to a core exterior face. A metal glazing cap is coupled with the frame core. The metal glazing cap having a cap end indirectly engaged with the glazing unit along the interior pane, and the cap end is remote from the pane spacer. Each of the core exterior face, the pane spacer and the metal glazing cap are thermally isolated from each other with the frame core including the unitary core wall.

Fenestration assemblies including composite frame cores and methods for same

A fenestration hardware assembly includes a blade socket including a blade recess and an operator interface feature rotatably coupled with an operator housing. A latch blade is movably coupled with the operator housing. The latch blade is movable between deployed and withdrawn positions. In the deployed position at least a portion of the latch blade is received in the blade recess of the blade socket. In the withdrawn position the portion of the latch blade is recessed from the blade recess. The operator interface feature is rotatable between at least locked and unlocked configurations. In the locked configuration the latch blade is in the deployed position and received in the blade recess. In the unlocked configuration the latch blade is translated from the deployed position to the withdrawn position and withdrawn from the blade recess according to rotation of the operator interface feature.

Fenestration assembly operation hardware and methods for same

A sash limiter assembly includes a limiter housing configured for installation in a sash or a window frame of a window. A sash stop is movably coupled with the limiter housing, and the sash stop is movable between engaging and retained positions. A reset is movably coupled with the limiter housing, and the reset is movable into a resetting position. The sash limiter assembly is configured for positioning between a sash limiting configuration and a resetting configuration. In the sash limiting configuration the sash stop is in the engaging position and positioned in a translation path of the sash. In the resetting configuration the sash stop is held in the retained position by the reset in the resetting position. In the retained position the sash stop is out of alignment with the translation path, and in the resetting position the reset is positioned within the translation path.

Window opening control device for horizontal and vertical sliding windows

A window assembly including a frame having an interior portion with an inner surface, and a sash having an interior portion and an exterior portion. The window assembly includes an operational mode and a wash mode. In the operational mode, the sash is movable from a closed position to a position in which the sash is generally perpendicular with the frame. In the wash mode, the sash is movable to a position where the exterior of the sash faces toward the interior frame.

Outswinging window assembly having an operational mode and a wash mode and method of operation

A sliding fenestration assembly including a panel assembly having at least a primary panel and a secondary panel, where the primary panel is slidable relative to the secondary panel. The assembly further includes an actuator assembly having an actuator. The actuator assembly is coupled with an element, and movement of the actuator causes movement of the element. One or more locking latches are disposed remotely from the actuator, and the two or more locking latches having a locked and unlocked position. The two or more locking latches are coupled with the element and mounted along the primary panel. The actuator assembly is adapted to unlock the two or more locking latches and slide the primary panel.

Multi-point lock system with single position actuation and related methods

A window drive mechanism includes a bracket and a cam slide moveably coupled to the bracket. In one option, the bracket is coupled to a window frame. An elongate arm is rotatably coupled to a sash substantially adjacent to a first end of the arm. In one option, the elongate arm is rotatably coupled to the bracket substantially adjacent to a second end of the arm. In another option, the elongate arm is moveably coupled to the cam slide between the first end and the second end. An actuator arm is coupled to the cam slide and operable to move the cam slide. A method for making a window assembly optionally includes providing a window frame and coupling a window drive mechanism to the window frame.

Window drive mechanism

Assemblies and methods for positioning and securing a window or door unit within a rough opening of a building or other structure. In one example, the assembly includes a jamb member and a jamb liner coupled with the jamb member. The jamb liner includes a retaining member sized and shaped to receive and engage a fastener at a plurality of locations therein. In another example, the retaining member includes at least one flange to engage the fastener and a groove to seat a fastener head.

Jamb adjustment and securement assembly and methods therefor

A window or door assembly including a jamb member and a jamb liner having a fastener opening coupled along the jamb member. A sash is moveably coupled along the jamb liner. The window or door assembly includes a structural filler coupled over a portion of the jamb liner, and the structural filler substantially conceals the fastener opening. The structural filler includes a flange sized and shaped to engage with the sash, and the flange substantially prevents movement of the sash over the structural filler. In one option, the flange extends along the structural filler and the sash. The structural filler further includes a contact surface engaged with the jamb liner and a projection rotatably coupled with the jamb liner, and the structural filler rotates in a first direction around the projection.
