A method for generating a comment capsule for a content segment includes receiving the comment related to the content segment, receiving data associated with the comment, the data including at least one of an identifier for the content segment to which the comment relates, an identifier for a user generating the comment, and a time at which the comment was generated, generating display data for displaying the comment in a comment capsule, and transmitting the display data for displaying the comment capsule in a user interface screen associated with the content segment. The comment capsule is displayed on the user interface screen inline with the content segment, and an appearance of the comment capsule is dynamically changeable based on at least one of a number of comments received for the content segment, a size of the content segment, and a read status of the comment.

Method and system of managing and displaying comments

A system and method for aggregating and tracking content is described. In one aspect, a computer-implemented method includes forming a consolidated graphical user interface that tracks activities related to a project identifier. The project identifier identifies aggregated content. A project search query is received on the consolidated graphical user interface. The system identifies the project identifier based on the project search query, and presents at least one of a content item, a file, a folder, a user identifier, a user message, a meeting identifier, and a website identifier associated with the project identifier. The system registers selected items with the project identifier with a user of the consolidated graphical user interface, and forms the aggregated content assigned to the project identifier and to the user based on the registered selection.

Project aggregation and tracking system

Described herein is a system and method for displaying annotation(s) of an electronic document. User input to review (e.g., scroll) the electronic document is received, until a selected portion of the electronic document is displayed within a viewport pane of a display. In response to the review input, annotation(s) (e.g., comment(s), comment thread(s), annotation thread(s)) anchored within the selected portion of the electronic document displayed within the viewport pane are identified. Which annotation of the annotation(s) to visually distinguish for a focus of the user is determined. The identified annotation(s) are displayed in an annotation pane, with the determined annotation visually distinguished (highlighted) for the focus of the user. In some embodiments, the anchor associated with the determined annotation is also visually distinguished to provide a contextual link to the user and/or hint(s) that provided a visual signal of annotation(s) associated with an anchor on a particular line are displayed.
