A wireless communication system serves a geographically-diverse data service. Network circuitry transfers geographic-diversity data for Fifth Generation (5G) networks to user circuitry that indicates Distributed Unit (DU) geographic data and Common Unit (CU) geographic data. The user circuitry selects two or more of the 5G networks that use geographically-diverse DUs and geographically-diverse CUs based on the geographic-diversity data for the 5G networks. The user circuitry exchanges service data for the data service with service circuitry over the selected ones of the 5G networks. The service circuitry exchanges the service data with the user circuitry over the selected ones of the 5G networks.

Wireless user data service with enhanced reliability

A wireless communication system serves a user apparatus with a user data service. Fifth Generation New Radio (5GNR) transceivers attach to Fifth Generation (5G) networks. A network controller transfers geographic-diversity data for the 5G networks to a user controller. The user controller selects multiple 5G networks for the user data service based on the geographic-diversity data for the attached 5G networks. The user controller exchanges service data for the user data service between the user apparatus and the selected 5G networks. The service controller exchanges the service data between the selected 5G networks and a service apparatus.

A video content distribution method is provided that comprises transmitting, by a video content distribution server, an initial portion of a scalable video file associated with a video to a mobile communication device via a first communication channel, transmitting an additional portion of the scalable video file to the mobile communication device via a second communication channel, and reconstructing, by the mobile communication device, at least some of the scalable video file based on reconstruction data using the initial portion and the additional portion of the scalable video file. The method also comprises playing, by the mobile communication device, at least a portion of the video at an initial resolution and frame rate based on the initial portion of the scalable video file and at least a portion of the video at an improved resolution and frame rate based on the reconstructed at least some of the scalable video file.

The method comprises receiving by a computer a request for a uniform resource identifier (URI), determining by a computer based on the request for the uniform resource identifier a communication service provider associated with a communication device, and when the communication service provider is affiliated with a digital content custom delivery offer building system, transmitting by a computer an image file to be presented by the communication device.

Framework for real-time brokering of digital content delivery

In a packet communication system, a PCRF processes communication policy data to generate a communication policy instruction and a user notice. The PCRF transfers the communication policy instruction for delivery to a packet gateway system. The PCRF transfers the user notice for delivery to an ANDSF. The ANDSF processes the user notice to generate and transfer a data file for delivery to a user communication device that displays the user notice based on the data file. The packet gateway system processes the communication policy instruction to filter packets exchanged with the user communication device.

A signaling error management system handles a syntax error in a signaling message received by a wireless communication network from a wireless communication device. The signaling error management system comprises a processing system and a communication transceiver. The processing system is configured to process text of the signaling message to detect the syntax error, correlate the syntax error to an error code, and correlate the error code to a uniform resource identifier (URI). The communication transceiver is configured to transfer the error code and the URI for delivery to the wireless communication device, wherein the wireless communication device uses the URI to retrieve correction data for the syntax error.

Management of syntax errors in signaling messages

Systems, methods, and software for operating a user communication device are provided herein. In a first example, method of operating a user communication device is provided which includes displaying a HTTP link associated with a media resource and receiving a user selection of the displayed HTTP link. The method also includes displaying a delivery time schedule menu for the media resource responsive to the user selection of the displayed HTTP link, and receiving a delivery time schedule instruction indicating a user-acceptable time frame for receipt of the media resource. The method also includes generating and transferring an HTTP request packet with an HTTP header that indicates the user-acceptable time frame for receipt of the media resource into the user communication device, and receiving the media resource associated with the HTTP link according to the delivery time schedule instruction and responsive to the HTTP header in the transferred HTTP request packet.

The method comprises receiving an electronic shopping cart identifying at least a first shopping item and determining that the first shopping item is an item of digital content based on analyzing the electronic shopping cart. The method further comprises analyzing a demand for communication network resources and estimating a congestion of a communication network, building a plurality of offers for wirelessly transmitting the first shopping item to a wireless communication device based on analyzing the demand for communication network resources and based on estimating the congestion of the communication network. The method further comprises transmitting the plurality of offers, receiving a selection of one of the offers, and transmitting the digital content based on the selected offer.

A method of transmitting digital content via a communication network. The method comprises receiving by a computer a request for a plurality of options for delivering the digital content via a communication network, determining by a computer a demand for resources of the communication network, and creating a congestion model modeling a congestion of the communication network. The method further comprises building by a computer a plurality of options for delivering the digital content based on the determined demand for resources of the communication network and based on the congestion model, transmitting by a computer the plurality of options, receiving by a computer a boundary reservation, creating by a computer at least one uncommitted reservation based on the boundary reservation, modifying by a computer the determined demand for resources of the communication network based on the uncommitted reservation.

Reservations in real-time brokering of digital content delivery

Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for registering media content with a CDN for transfer at a later time. In a particular embodiment, a method of operating a wireless communication device to deliver media content to a plurality of user devices over a Content Distribution Network (CDN) is provided. The method comprises transferring an upload registration request to the CDN that indicates the wireless communication device and an upload time. The method further comprises receiving an upload confirmation transferred from the CDN confirming the upload registration request and powering down after receiving the upload confirmation. The method further comprises powering up and obtaining the media content. After powering up and during the upload time, the method comprises transferring the media content for delivery to the CDN based on the upload confirmation, wherein the CDN subsequently transfers the media content to the user devices.
