A vial having an outer wall which is straight and cylindrical and a curved inner cavity. The inner cavity is curved in a substantially uniform arc. The apex of the curved cavity is closer to the cylindrical outer wall of the vial than the ends of the inner cavity. The inner cavity is substantially uniform in cross section throughout its length.

A mitre box having a base and a pair of upstanding spaced sidewalls extending upwardly from the base. Each sidewall has an end edge, a slot in each of the sidewalls, the slots being in angular axial alignment with each other with the slot in one of the sidewalls being in axial angular alignment with the slot in the opposite sidewall, ruler marks on said mitre box substantially parallel to the sidewalls. Notch means are also provided between the two end edges of the sidewalls.

The main body has an opening at the front with means to prevent the pair of body halves from spreading apart and with means to prevent the blade from swaying from side to side. In addition, means are provided to hold the body halves together without the necessity of using special tools or fastening means.

A tape measure having a recoilable tape mounted within a cartridge. The free end of the recoilable tape extends out of the mouth and has a finger-grip extending therefrom to permit the tape to be extended from within the cartridge through said mouth. A spring is mounted in the cartridge to permit the tape to be recoiled and retracted within the cartridge through said mouth and a shock absorber is located within the cartridge to absorb the shock of the retracting tape.

Hack saw frame

A hack saw frame having a handle assembly, a body assembly and a front assembly adapted to hold a hack saw therebetween. The front assembly is pivotly mounted on the body assembly with manual means for pivoting the front assembly. When the manual means is moved in one direction, the front assembly will pivot to tighten and hold the blade in place. When the manual means is moved in the opposite direction, the blade is loosened to permit removal.
