A connector is disclosed for interconnecting a baluster having a recess on at least one end thereof to a railing component. The connector has a first body portion having an outer surface and an interface surface with a mounting groove thereon. The connector also has a second body portion having an outer surface and an interface surface with a mounting groove thereon. The interface surface of the second body portion having a mating portion adapted to receive a portion of the interface surface on the first body portion, and a hinge connecting the first body portion to the second body portion.

Baluster connector

A baluster connector having a base and retaining member can be used to mount a baluster to a rail installed on both a horizontal and a sloped surface. The base can rotate relative to the retaining member to a first position to mount the baluster to a horizontal rail and to a second position to mount the baluster to an angled rail.

A baluster connector for interconnecting a baluster with a hollow end to a portion of a railing system by a fastener having a shaft and a head. The body portion can have an opening of sufficient size to pass the head of the fastener toward the second end of the body to seat against a necked-down portion within the interior of the body. Biasing flanges can extend away from the body to provide resistance when the body is positioned within a hollow end of a baluster.

A lattice comprising two intersecting laths and a pivoting connector locating at the intersection between the laths that includes a male retainer and a female retainer that interlock so as to connect the laths together. The male and female retainers interlock such that the laths may pivot about the connector from an expanded framework configuration to a collapsed framework configuration of the lattice.
