An optic assembly has a reflector with a reflective surface, one or more light sources, and a mask with one or more apertures. Facets on the reflective surface direct light rays so that a substantial portion of the light rays within the optic assembly can be managed as if they were emitted from a focal point located outside the optic assembly.

An optic assembly has a reflector with a reflective surface, one or more light sources, and mask assembly with one or more apertures. Light rays from a light source are refocused and substantially converged before being emitted through one or more apertures in the mask assembly.

A signaling assembly for use on an overland vehicle is shown and described, and which includes an exterior mirror housing defining an internal cavity, and which is mounted on a side of the overland vehicle; a semitransparent mirror having forward and rearward facing surfaces, and which is mounted on the mirror housing; a focusing optic mounted in the exterior mirror housing and juxtaposed relative to the rearward facing surface of the semitransparent mirror; and an emitter of visible light mounted in the internal cavity of the exterior mirror housing and juxtaposed relative to the focusing optic, and which further, when energized, emits visible light which passes through the semitransparent mirror, and which can be seen at an angle which is about 60 degrees relative to the side of the overland vehicle.

A signaling assembly is described and which includes a semitransparent mirror; a reflector housing, defining a cavity, and which is juxtaposed relative to the semitransparent mirror; and an electromagnetic radiation emitter positioned in the reflector housing and which, when energized, predominantly emits visibly discernable electromagnetic radiation which travels substantially, laterally, outwardly relative to the emitter, and which is reflected by the reflector housing so as to subsequently pass through the semitransparent mirror to form a visibly discernable signal.

An electromagnetic radiation assembly is described and which includes a reflector having discrete first and second surfaces; a first electromagnetic radiation emitter positioned adjacent to the first surface; and a second electromagnetic radiation emitter positioned adjacent to the second surface, and wherein, when energized, the first and second electromagnetic radiation emitters emit visibly discernible electromagnetic radiation which is reflected by the reflector in a fashion so as to be visible at locations forward of the first surface.

A signaling assembly is described which includes a semitransparent mirror, an opaque layer attached to the semitransparent mirror, a reflector member positioned within an aperture defined by the opaque layer; a circuit board defining an aperture through which visible light can pass, and which is positioned in spaced relation relative to the semitransparent mirror; and an electromagnetic radiation emitter mounted on the rear surface of the circuit board and which emits visible light which is passed by the circuit board and an opaque layer and which is reflected from the reflector member so as to form a visibly discernable signal which is passed by the semitransparent mirror.

A signal assembly is described and which includes a mirror which is operable to reflect, and pass electromagnetic radiation; a circuit substrate having a plurality of electrically conductive pathways which is borne on same; a light emitting device borne by the circuit substrate, and which, when energized, emits visibly discernable electromagnetic radiation which passes by each of the circuit substrate and the mirror; and an electrically actuated assembly, such as a heater, which may be electrically coupled with a source of electricity by way of the circuit substrate.

A signaling assembly is disclosed and which includes a reflective substrate having opposite first and second surfaces; an electromagnetic radiation emitter for emitting visibly discernible electromagnetic radiation and which is borne by the second surface of the reflective substrate; and a light channeling assembly positioned near the electromagnetic radiation emitter, and which directs the emitted visibly discernible electromagnetic radiation in a direction where it may be viewed from a location which is forward of one of the first and/or second surfaces of the reflective substrate.

A signaling assembly having a reflective substrate with opposite first and second surfaces, and wherein each of the surfaces simultaneously reflects visibly discernable eleotromagnetic radiation and passes electromagnetic radiation; and an emitter for emitting visibly discernable electromagnetic radiation is provided, and wherein the emitted visibly discernable electromagnetic radiation may be simultaneously viewed from locations forward of the opposite first and second surfaces of the reflective substrate.

A signaling assembly is disclosed and which includes a reflective substrate having opposite first and second surfaces, and wherein the reflective substrate simultaneously reflects visibly discernible electromagnetic radiation, and passes visibly discernible electromagnetic radiation; a plurality of electromagnetic radiation emitters which are borne by the second surface and which, when energized, emit electromagnetic radiation; and a reflector is borne by the second surface and which directs the electromagnetic radiation emitted by some of the electromagnetic radiation emitters in a direction so that it may pass through the reflective substrate and be viewed from a location forward of the first surface, and the electromagnetic radiation emitted by a remainder of the electromagnetic radiation emitters in a direction so that it may be viewed from a location forward of the second surface.

A signaling assembly is described and which includes a semitransparent substrate, a light emitting assembly which is disposed in spaced relationship relative to the semitransparent substrate and which when energized emits electromagnetic radiation; and an opaque light orientation assembly which is positioned adjacent to the semitransparent substrate and which permits electromagnetic radiation to pass through the semitransparent substrate at an oblique orientation.
